Right now my G30. My normal EDC is my Pro Carry 10mm, but I'm getting a new upper for it so I'm carrying the Glock.

My first rule is that I have to get a full grip on the gun before I even decide to carry it. If my pinky hangs below the grip, that gun is useless.

My primary carry gun is either a S&W M&P45 or one of my S&W 41 magnums.
I always carry a backup gun too.Either a S&W model 13,S&W model 642 or a Kel-Tec.

Ruger sp101's chambered in(and loaded with) 357 magnum.
Yeah, what Ben said.

I used to carry a full size 1911. They're awesome. I still think of them as maybe the ultimate handgun. They're more concealable than people think. But every once in a while, some old guy would show me his snubby revolver and say, "This is what you will be carrying."

They were right.

Nowadays it's the Ruger SP101 in an IWB holster, 24/7, with Double Tap Gold Dot hollowpoints -- well, except when I have to lock it up in the car on account of the silly rules where I work.

Also, when I shoot it in IDPA Backup Gun matches, it's fun to hear people say, "WTH was that!?"

Once I receive my CHL permit, I plan on carrying a CZ 75 P-01. It is accurate, has an excellent "feel", and is almost all metal. It is reliable, and I feel it very comfortable with it.

Kel-Tec PF-9. Unlike my CZ40, the PF9 has been 100% since I got it out of the box, something I cannot say the same of my CZ. The CZ sometimes comes out to play in colder weather, though.

I carry a Colt Gov't model 380 & 2 full spare Mags everywhere I go.

Improvements to date.

  • Full length Stainless steel guide rod. (Improvement in accuracy is easily worth the investment)
  • Wolf's 12lb extra power recoil spring.
  • To improve HP ammo feed reliability I Polished the feed ramp and I had to do some reshaping & smoothing on two new Factory Colt Magazines, they would only feed Ball ammo. The one I received with the pistol did not have this prob.
  • Also purchased a S/S Trigger from a THR member. (Not installed yet due to stuck trigger pin and lack of proper tools)
  • Pachmayr sure grip rubber panels. (Only mounted on the Right panel and Left the left panel original.)The rubber panel is thicker so its fills my palm and improves grip. If I install the left panel it causes the pistol to hang on the draw and make the pistol protrude outward making it more prone to door jambs, seat belts & so forth. If you carry you know what I mean.
  • Carried in a Bianchi model 100 leather Holster.
That's about it so far. :)

depends on the situation

Most of the time, it's the 642..especially for pocket carry in the summer. At other times, I may put the CZ75 compact in play. When limited by other factors (like wearing a suit) the tomcat goes in the pocket.

Like many people, what I carry and when is rather situation dependent. My first choice, when my style of dress allows, is to carry a full-size 1911, but most frequently I end up carrying a Colt Defender. When I'm wearing clothes that really won't accommodate concealed carry of a larger weapon, then I'll typically drop down to a Kel Tec P3AT. So, my routine carry selection falls in this order of most carried:

#1 - Colt Defender
#2 - Kimber Custom CDP
#3 - Kel Tec P3AT

You might have made it multiple choice...as it really depends on where I am going and why. Of many options I own, I usually carry one these:
Kel-Tec P32
Beretta 950B
Beretta 21A
Bersa 383
S&W 6946

I voted compact for my SP-101 in an RKBA pocket holster or my Ultra Carry II in a DeSantis Nemesis holster. I find it much more comfortable than IWB, so I wear pants with "deep pockets".

Usually a S&W 638 in a pocket holster, sometimes backed up by a Keltec .380. I'll occasionally carry a larger auto loader if circumstances seem to call for it.

My most common and comfortable carry a Rossi 791VRC snub .357. It's got a fairly large frame but my method of carry for this is much more comfortable than most of my other options. It's a short barrel and the whole thing goes in the pocket (in a little IWB holster) with just the grip exposed.
I've been known to carry .22s and the like, and have no qualms about carrying little guns when convenient. My 'mouse guns' both share an OWB holster and I'm required to use a holster in this state, so they end up being less convenient than the Rossi to equip.
I'm a fairly large guy and the pocket carry is so nice. I wear longer shirts usually so the grip is concealed, but even when I'm wearing a shorter jacket I've had people not notice the black grip against black pants at all.

This week it's a Sig P6. Next week it will be a Beretta Px4 bacause my spare mags are supposed to show up at the office.
