1. If you know there is going to be a gun fight, be somewhere else.

2. If you absolutely have to go to a gunfight , bring a long gun. Bring all your friends who have long guns.

3. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

I only get one?

An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
Those who trade liberty for security have neither.
What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?
Enforce the gun control laws we ALREADY have; don't make more.
The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others.
You have only the rights you are willing to fight for.
Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them.
When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.
Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.
The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control.
Assault is a behavior, not a device.
Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.
If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.
If guns are outlawed, can we use swords?
If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson, and pencils cause misspelled words.
64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
Guns only have two enemies; rust and politicians.

Quote:
An armed society is a polite society

.
That sounds nice but history and personal observation demonstrates how untrue it is.

You say that because we (collectively) often forget that most of us (collectively) forgot, or did not even know, the second - and IMNSHO most important - line of the quotation:

An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.
Robert A. Heinlein

stay safe.
