3 shot switch blade... legal in France.

.22LR but at the range it probably will be used at... sights wouldnt be needed...

Might surprise you how gun freindly France is despite being in Europe...

Not legal to own, neither to carry !!!

sure, it is on some french catalog, but NO french prefecture will ever release an autorisation for such a knife/gun.

As you may not know, in france NO WEAPONS permits are delivered for defense or collection..

The only way to get guns for french is hunting or sport... and this weapon don't fit one of this category. No prefet will ever allow a normal citizen to own such a gun.. not even dream about carrying.-

Shung... actually it is a Cat 4 weapon. And treated exactly like one.

I have applied for authorisation... lets see what happens... :)
It is legal to carry to range...

Incedentally there is a pre-WWI 9MM carbine that is fully auto for sale @12500 Euros. You dont even need a licence for it since it is classified as an antique and therefore cat 8...

BTW I am not a french citizen... only a lowly resident and currently do own a few weapons registered to me. French gun law is very wierd.

Afy: Any link to that carbine? I've got to see that. Then weep because I can't afford it (also living in the wrong country).

Afy- thats one strange looking carbine.
Neat though.

As for the switchblade gun, neat twist on the really olg gun/knife combo. All the ones I've recall seeing pics of, even more modern ones were fixed blade, and a few lock blades. I'd take it if the price was right (which I'm sure it wouldnt be) just for novelty.

In the US, this weapon would be considered an AOW. And yes, there are pen/knife guns in the US, and they are considered AOWs. As for carrying one for personal defense, you'd need to check your state laws. It may be a good idea to get a letter from your state police confirming its legality to carry.
