I'm 19, with GF, no kids.
I'm a manager at a Toys R Us, and soon to be USAF 1A731 (waiting to ship out). I make enough dough to buy an AR every week, but because of bills and other expensive hobbies, I don't buy as much as I'd like to. My other main hobby is guitar. I've sunk more money (about $9k) into that than anything else. I also play airsoft, although I do it only for fun about once a month (because I get to shoot people ). Guitar is my thing.

I'm comfortable with what I have now so my gun purchasing has slowed down, but I see an AK-74 moving in sometime this year (as well as a 7.62x51mm rifle of an undecided type).

I am a 57 year old mental health therapist. I have a 31 year old son, a 35 year old wife, and 2 and 4 year old sons. Life takes strange turns. Hobbies are time with family, anything related to guns and shooting, crytozoology and herpetology.

My wife and I both work for FedEx Office (used to be Kinko's).

We both love shooting and animals, but not shooting animals. We have 3 dogs (all labs), 5 cats (3 tabbys, 1 calico, 1 grey ragdoll) and a LOT of hair to clean up CONSTANTLY.

No kids, and no kids planned.

We shoot a .357 Charter Pug, a .22 Beretta NEOS, a .45 Springfield XD, a 9MM S&W Sigma, and a 5.56 Bushmaster XM15. More coming!

I got the Bushmaster for our 2nd anniversary, and my wife can easily outshoot me with anything but the XD45.

23 years old ,married 2 years . i had a job as a foklift lift driver at a automaker but got downsized now I run an oerhead crane in a steel warehouse making half of what I used to. I own a total of 21 firearms all but 3 bought in the last 2 ears when money was good and gas was cheapish. i have 1 dog wife has 1 dog, 3 rabbits,1 cat,2 gunie pigs, 2 hairless rats,1 hamster,1 bearded dragon 2 button quail, 4 finches,and 5 aquariums(quess what her hobby is)

Turned 27 today, former LEO, USAF veteran, now a full-time Paramedic. No wife/girlfriend, no kids, no dog...although all three would be great someday. Wow, I never realized how boring I am until now! LOL I do enjoy anything having to do with Ford Mustangs, especially mine.

I have a friend that collects watches, he has tens-of-thousands of dollars worth. He is not wealthy and he has a family. He is always on the lookout for good deals and I, and all of his other friends, are looking too. Similar story with his daughter and necklaces (and she has no real income). I calculated that I have spent more on lunch than guns in my lifetime. If a person spends enough time in a hobby, with evolving tastes and a keen eye, they will build up quite an inventory. One that would be very expensive to replicate/replace, even on a meager budget.

I just turned forty with a wife and twenty-month-old daughter. I work for the largest (in terms of monetary sales) Cummins marine diesel sales and service outfit in the world, although you really couldn't tell from my paycheck (benefits are pretty darn good, however).
I didn't get married until I was thirty-five, and was able to purchase, sell, and trade a good many firearms in the past. The wife and rug-rat have slowed me down, but I'll only stop when I'm dead.

MaterDei - thanks for the info! so simple and yet....

I, fifty something, I work for the feds, I make a darned good salary for North Platte, NE or Tombstone, AZ or Calais, ME, but here just outside the big apple, it just about pays the mortgage and other bills that we have. We is the family: wife, daughter, son, two dogs and a bunch of reptiles as pets (keeping them just about pays for itself).

Can I buy guns - nope not recently. I have been pretty short on cash, although I will admit to having ordered a M1916 Spanish Mauser a week ago, but that is on back order probably for at least 6 months and I should have saved for it by then. I also want to buy an HK 2000, so I am auctioning off things at GunBroker.com - no guns - just ammo for now. Maybe in a week or so I may have a tag sale from my garage. I figure if lucky it will bring in a couple to few hundred more.

How i get my guns.
first i pay cash for everything. Then when the economy was good. Everyweek i buy 50.00 in stock aside from 401k and retirement. I play the market always looking and evaluating stocks. Win some loose some. Prior to this year i was always making money. So every few months i would buy something. Now with my job having a lot of driving. Then the stock market the way it is. I cant afford much. Alot of money goes in my gas tank alone. I havent bought any stocks since february. Then most of the stock has gone south.

So as soon as the economy starts taking a change for the better. im going to start scouting around for stocks to buy and sell. By this time last year i already had 15k in profits from stock cash in my pockets. this year i dont even want to talk about it.

I do not have unlimited funds for firearms but when my daughter joined the Marines, it prompted me to buy some handguns so we could shoot paper together. Got me hooked. I now have what I want, the latest is a Mossberg 930 SPX, and hope the next bonus will pay for everything. LOL
