i know this is kind of along the same lines of the "what will you be using on opening day" thread, but i was thinking that some peeps like to use one weapon for everything, while others like to utilize the entire aresnal, if they can.

for myself, it breaks down like this:

WHITETAIL DEER
marlin m336cs .30/30
simmons 44mag 2-7x44mm scope
remington 150-grain core-lokt ammo

MULE DEER
herter's mj9 .308
tasco world class plus 3-9x44mm scope
federal 165-grain sierra gameking ammo

PRONGHORN ANTELOPE*
cz m550 american .275 rigby
leupold 3.5-10x50mm scope (unless jim needs it back!)
winchester 140-grain powerpoint ammo

ELK**
herter's mj9 .308
tasco world class plus 3-9x44mm scope
federal 165-grain sierra gameking ammo

*i plan to get an OTC doe tag, but haven't finalized these plans yet.

** IF i go.....

how about the rest of you guys?

Whitetails
Rem 725 in 30-06
Burris 4x scope

Mulies (maybe)
Rem 725 in 30-06
Burris 4x scope

Feral hogs
Rem 725 in 30-06
Burris 4x scope

Crows/Squirrrels
Rem...oh, wait...Ruger 10/22
Simmons 6.5-20x44 scope

Whitetail
Michigans northern Lower Peninsula
Winchester 94 in 30-30, Simmons Whitetail 3-9X, Rem 150gr Corelokt

Southern Lower Michigan
Rem 870 12 ga., TruGlo fiber optic sights, rifled slugs(not sure of brand yet)/smooth bore

Small game
Marlin Model 60, Williams Fire Sights, CCI Mini Mags
Remington Nylon 66, Tasco 3-9X, CCI Mini Mags
or Remington 870 Wingmaster 20ga., Bead sight.

Turkey(Spring) - Rem 870 12ga, Turkey Extra Full choke/26" bbl, 3" Winchester Supreme HV #5

And IF Michigan gets a dove season I'll use the 20ga 870 for that as well.

Rupe

Whitetail - Well, I'm going 2 ways here. I've got 2 locations I'm going to this year. For the first location (all wooded) I'm using a Remington Model 7 .260 with 3-10x40 Weaver. For the second location (many fields) I'm using a Tikka T3 Lite .243 with 4.5-10x40 Nikon.

Small Game - That would be a Marlin Model 60, open sights.

Crowes - Remington 870 Express Magnum.

Coyotes and the occasional long range crow - Tikka .243.

Would like to mulie or elk hunt, but unfortunately, there aren't any here.

Newt

too many cases of cronic wasting in this area,no meat huntin this year,it's varmits/predators with rimfires till next season.

Just Whitetail

- Martin Magnum at 60lbs. with Thunderhead 125GR broadheads (Oct 15 till the last possible day).

When not bow hunting:
-Ruger Super Redhawk .44 MAG with 240GR JHP's 1xTasco Scope
-Knight Disc Extreme .50 Call 2-9X Bushnell 180GR HP with 150GR Pyrodex
-Winchester 1300 12GA with Federal Classic Slugs (Barnes EXpanders)

When all is quiet and I'm the only one at camp (in firearms season) I'll either bowhunt (from a tree) or still hunt (usually gun sometimes bow). I rarely sit in a tree with a gun because it seems too easy.

I always carry the SRH in Firearms season, usually exclusively. I'll be sitting on some large hayfields with the muzzleloader in the late season. The shotgun has lost my interest in the last few years.

Sometimes I wish I could use my M94 .30-30 in the NYS Southern Zone.

What will you be using

Whitetail deer - my bow. I almost had a nice big doe earlier today.

Elk - my bow

Bear - Marlin guide gun 45/70

Bow: Mountain Hunter #80lb. Compound Mfg. for Gander Mtn. by  Cabela's carbon arrows w/100 gr. Satellite broadheads.

Gone hunting for blacktail deer, cougar, bear, and grouse, and so far this year I have only gotten a grouse. Almost zapped a doe today, but the backstop for the arrow was a little questionable, so I didn't shoot.

Gun(s): Browning A-Bolt II Stainless Stalker in .300 Win. Mag. loaded with 180 gr. Barnes X-Bullets.

Gone cougar and bear hunting with it for a grand total of 2 days so far this year. Haven't seen either a bear or cougar yet.

Winchester Model 1895 (1923 vintage) in .405 W.C.F. Loaded with 350 gr. Barnes X-Bullets.

I Will be taking it, and the A-Bolt (the '95 doesn't go out in bad weather) with me when I go elk (plus any incidental bear/cougar/grouse) hunting later this fall.

Ruger Single-Six convertible (I mostly use the .22 Mag. cylinder) as a sidearm on all but the archery hunts.

Glock 29 w/ 180 gr. HPs in the event that a two-legged varmint needs plugging at a Stop & Rob, ATM, restaurant, etc...while on the way to and from the mountains.

Deer- Horton Stalker except for a week in December, when I'll use the Rem 870.

Rabbits- Ithaca 20 gauge pump

Squirrles- Same as above- don't have a .22 worth a hoot anymore. S&W .45 Revolver might be interesting though.

Whitetail deer: (1) Marlin Model 1894 .44 magnum w/ Simmons scope
(2) Marlin Model 336CS .30-30 w/ Tasco scope
(3) S&W Model 1500 .30-06 w/ Weaver scope
* The bag limit is 10 antlerless and 2 bucks.

Small game (quail, dove, rabbits, squirrels): (1) Ruger 10/22
