Saw this screed on the Brady bunch web site. Brought a smile to my face!

The NRA's Dirty Tricks Revealed MSNBC's Keith Olberman ranks "Mary McFate" as top contender for "World's Worst" for spying on gun violence victims and profiting from it.An investigative report uncovered that a volunteer activist in the gun violence prevention movement was, in actuality, spying on the movement for more than ten years for the National Rifle Association. She spied on and betrayed victims of gun violence who were active in the movement, and the NRA paid her to do it.

Brady President Paul Helmke wrote in his blog "When the National Rifle Association asks its members for their next contribution, they might want to disclose how much of that money will be spent to spy on gun violence victims and their families."

Link?

If that's all there is to it, great job to the Brady Bunch for providing any specifics whatsoever on the "betrayal".

I wonder how long it'll take before Paul Helmke is outed as a plant by the NRA.

After all, I don't think the RKBA movement could have asked for a better rep for the Brady org.

Considering how many astro-turf orgs the Brady's have spawned I'll wager their outrage is more about getting trumped than anything else.

I could never function as a spy working inside the Brady organization. I could not conceal my distaste for them.

Agreed. Reading their sight is the definition of masochism.

Helmke and his Brady Bunch cry about the NRA mole.

But how many comparable spies and moles does the Brady Bunch employ in the NRA, GOA, TSRA, etc.? And THR?

He forgot to mention that, didn't he?:

FCFC, do you have any documentation of this? Not saying I doubt you, but while I suspect you are right I would really be interested if any of these people were oficially outed!

Lets do it

Lets post people from both sides in each others organizations. I bet they get more heartburn and dropouts than we do and we might pick up a few converts. If nothing else it would make for some interesting conversations.

dude, i would SO donate more money if the NRA promised to use it paying moles in HCI

justin, no doubt. helmke and co have been dysfunctional/incompetent to the point of suspicion.

What is the name of the "gun rights" organization that has been campaigning for gun control and recently endorsed Obama?

Divemedic--that would be Ray Schoenke's American Hunter and Shooter Association:banghead::cuss::banghead::fire::banghead:

Anything that PO's Keith Olbermann is a blessing to me.
America's #1 lefty broadcasting zealot.

I don't know if we had a "spy" in their midst or not but I truly hope so. And hope we still have another dozen or more!

What do the leftist extremists have to hide? What are they afraid of the world findng out?

Maybe thats why they want us all 'unarmed'...most orgs have some kind of agenda and if they were up and above board' they wouldnt be so worried, now would they?

Ray Schoenke's American Hunter and Shooter Association
Han Jian

In World War II, the word Han Jian is what we used to refer to any Chinese person who secretly aided the Japanese occupationist army and betrayed members of the Resistance movement to the Japanese.

Han Jian essentially means "treasonous mole", and it can be applied to any situation.

Rachen, thanks for that interesting tidbit of history.

it would be so awesome if EVERYONE in the brady bunch were all spies and didn't really believe what they were saying, but kept on making more and more ludicrous statements just to convince each other they were real

that might explain a lot, actually

No problem man. In 1951, approximately two years after total victory in the Motherland Liberation War, over 2 million people who had plenty of evidence against them that they aided the Japanese Army during the Occupation were arrested by the People's Committee for Investigation of War Crimes and sent to labor camps to serve sentences according to the severity of their crimes. Those who committed more serious crimes on behalf of the Japanese during the War from 1937-1945, such as directly killing members of the Chinese Communist Resistance, or spying on Resistance movements and sending intelligence to the Japanese, later resulting in casualties to the Resistance in battle, were executed.

So........Mr. Ray Schoenke, you should be happy you live in America, safe in the knowledge that your dirty little activities won't be punished. LOL
