I have heard that peanut butter is an awesome attractant for deer, and that apple juice is also. Is this true? Also, what are some good low-$ deer attractants?

Thanks.

I have for years used a molasses/salt lick purchased from almost any place that sells farm feeds.

I put out several of these in last week of September and replace them just before gun season starts in November. I put some on the ground and a few hanging about waist high on ropes from a tree limb.

Last three years they brought in some nice bucks as well as does to our property.

Plain old deer corn works for me and feeds from a feeder. All that fancy acorn stuff is pretty expensive, but acorns are the preferred meal down here. We've been real dry this year and the acorn crop should be poor which is good for deer hunting. I've been tossing in some high protein feed with the corn this summer after setting up the feeder a month ago. Hoping to help 'em out a bit if the friggin' hogs to scarf it all up.

Deer corn works well. I like to use peanut butter spread on tree bark at waist level. I have also had success with sweet feed and rice bran.

Old corn works for me,

Im going to try the new record rock, they are saying its the new and better salt rock,it looks like a rock, and deer scarf it up.only 15 bucks, and its not white,so it wont stick out like a polor bear in a coal yard
