I recently bought a Beretta 935, made in 1953. It doesn't look like others I've seen. The grooves on the slide are at an angle, and most aren't. The Date stamp is located over the trigger hole, instead of at the left top rear, behind the grip, which is also different. It sais BERETTA on top, and it's checkered. The left grip also covers the area where the date stamp is on the others I've seen, and it covers the area on the bottom where that little metal loop is on some. Do I have anything cool? I mean, other than a nice little pistol?:scrutiny:

For a "935", I think you mean Model 1935. It's probably a standard Beretta of that period. My J.B. Wood's book; Beretta pistols, says that in 1953 the slide serations were changed from vertical to slanted and the Beretta name was in a rectangle at the top of the checkered grips.

Beretta 935

Thanks Professor! I figured it was nothing special, I had only seen the earlier ones, I guess. The metal loop on the base of some, it's probably just on military models? It's the nicest pistol I've got, I keep it close.
