All the folks who don't reload.

Two good days scrounging. Spent more time picking up brass than shooting. Those piles are 3 to 4 inches deep. :D

I agree wholeheartedly. Last weekend I went to the range and shot about 200 rounds.

Though I left with about 500 pieces of brass:rolleyes:

I actually made some money shooting today. Ran 50 rounds of Makarov reloads to make sure everything was working okay, and picked up over 200 pieces of Winchester .45ACP brass. Means I came out about $5.00 ahead. ;-)

I left all the .223, 9mm, and .40 there since I don't reload those and don't want to be too greedy.

It's amazing what people will leave behind-- I started picking up brass about a year before I actually started reloading, and have about 800 pieces of .45 that cost me nuttin'.

I too had a good outing. I shot 300 rounds of 45acp and 60 rounds of 30.06. I came home with 500+ rounds of 40 s&w, 400+ rounds of 45acp, 100+ rounds of 270 and of course my own 60 rounds of 30.06. + 40 rounds that were not mine. I too, left the majority of the fallen brass behind that I do no reload for. Better to let someone who does collect those calibers have it.

Wow...
I spent today catching waves with my son. I knew I should have gone to Angeles. I may have to go tomorrow morning.

Cheers all...

I save all my brass plus my friends brass plus whatever brass I can find near me. I have two 5-gallon buckets full to the brim.

I don't reload.

Thernlund,
Just curious, if you do not reload why do you hang out on a reloaders forum and collect brass? I think I see a future handle pulling addict in the making....

If not, then I will pay the shipping and you can send me all that pretty brass!

I don't really hang out on a reloader forum. I hang out on THR and click on new threads where the subect interests me.

As to why I pick up brass... because I can. Like buying another gun, do I need a reason?

Finally, as to future reloading, you very well may be right. I actually do have some books and gear for it. ;)

Another good day.

Picked up some more brass today. Not as much as the last two days, but still a good day for me. Folks must be utilizing the long weekend to shoot, myself included. I only shot 20 rounds today. Some .357 test rounds and a few proven .44 Mag, just because I felt like making it go BOOM today. :D

Oh yea Thernlund, your hooked, it's just a matter of time. ;)

Thernlund. Go for it!

You will never, ever regret the decision.

I came back with twice as many .45's as I left with Sunday. Plus a bucket full of .308 (LC Match no less!), .223 and 30-06 (Mostly HXP and KA), and 100 nice minty Starline .357 Mag that I will give to my father in law, with a handful of .22-250's I found.

I am slowly tumbling my way through an overflowing bucket of 9mm. So far I am up to 7000 tumbled and looks like about 3000 more to go. And that's all from august.

I love the fact that even most people that reload don't bother with 9mm.:D That way they pick it up, sort it and give it to me- "since they'll never use it anyway".

It's addictive, You shouldn't do it. Your hands get dirty, and it's hot. But don't feel bad I've collected over 15k in the past couple of months. Just remember DON'T GO PAST THE FIRING LINE. It really PO the RSO. (Oh that's me :D:D:D:D)
