If so, it is probably for several reasons. First, the NRA has to be careful to back only the innocent. I believe Cav-Arms is innocent, but even they don't really know what they were suspected of doing or not doing, so it's hard to prove your innocence, even to a friend. Second, while outrageous, this is more of an industry issue than a "right of the people to KBA" kind of issue. The NRA, while large and often accused of being the "gun lobby" or the "gun industry lobby," is not an industry or trade organization. That would be the NSSF. I do not know whether the NSSF has stepped up (but see issue #1). This is probably a case where the "stepping up" has to be done by a large number of individuals like us and/or an "angel" who can afford to take a risk with a larger chunk of cash to keep Cav-Arms alive long enough to see the fight through. If this is true, WHY is the NRA sitting this out?
It is not clear that their off site manufacturing waiver was at the core of the big raid/seizure. Last I had heard, that was believed to be a separate matter, and a case of the BATFE kicking while Cav-Arms was already down.
