I just ordered a 308 saiga with the wood stock.
What is a good all round scope for it based on everyones experience.?
I have been wanting one for a while and then couldnt decide on which one to go with, ended up going with the 22 inch barrel wood stock model ( not the thumb hole stock )

Thanks guys.

Send a pic when you can.
Mine has a black stock.
I don't have a scope, but there is a rail for one.
Let us know if you get one.

I have found it difficult or impossible to zero a scope on an AK type rifle with the side mounting bracket. I presently have Saiga .308 and .223. Maybe I just don't have the skills.

I agree, these things look damn fine with the Kalinkas, you need to get a very stable, and adjustale side mount, and a scope with either long eye relief, or a long tube scope... a Nikon is pretty nice on these though. and also a Tasco varmint series, 4 x 12...

I really like the authentic Rusky scopes from KalinkaOptics
Me, too. Mine zeroed just fine, and keeps its zero pretty well when removed and replaced.

You do have to adjust the side lever keep the appropriate tension. Directions that come with the scope are adequate.

Yeah I'd go with the russian. A friend has the side mounted weaver rail and it works decent with a nikon 3-9, so that would work too. Whatever you do, just don't get a dust-cover mount, those things suck.

I mounted a Simmons Whitetail with this:

It was very sturdy and solid. Nice scope too
