What SD round are you using in your LCP?

Here's the dirty little secret about defensive ammunition. You're going to have a spend a dollar or two and actually do some testing. It doesn't matter what the local gun shop commando tells you, it doesn't matter what the latest gun rag tells you, it is downright foolish to carry a round that you have not extensively tested (200 round minimum) through the weapon.

Here is my personal routine. I have 3 loads that I start with, Gold Dots, Ranger SXT's, and Golden Sabers. I run 50 rounds of each through the weapon, and determine which load shoots best through the weapon based upon group size and POA vs POI. Once I have chosen the load to test, I proceed to run an additional 200 rounds of that load through the weapon to verify reliability. Only then do I consider it for carry.

Do you have an LCP?

In my LCP, I successfully ran Speer GDHP, Hornady, Magtech FMJ's, and Remington Golden Saber 102gr. through it before I sold it (because I preferred my smaller, but fatter/heavier Seecamps; gun was otherwise great, no real complaints other than personal preference).

I ended up sticking with the Golden Sabers for carry.

I'll start off with an out-of-the-loop ignoramus question:
What the heck is an "LCP"?

Winchester Ranger RA45TP are working very well in my USP45. They feed reliably and hit an inch high of POA at 15 yards. The built-in recoil dampener in the H&K USP's takes whatever little bite those +P rounds might have which allows me to stay on-target in rapid fire drills.
All in all, I'm a very happy camper with this set-up.

I carry my Makarov with a hot-loaded Hornady XTP over Power Pistol in the chamber and the mag full of fmj handloads.

Fiocchi 90 gr JHP's in my LCP.

I wouldn't feel underarmed with plain old WWB flat point FMJ's though.

Mine rune Gold Dots like there's no tomorrow.

I generally carry a Gold dot in the chamber, and then a mag full of S&B FMJs.

Just found out what an LCP is. Boy, do I feel stupid. I've been outta the firearms loop for over a year and apparently I have a LOT of catching up to do. So, please forgive my senior moment post above. Thanks!

Remington Golden Sabers in my LCP. I also carry them in my 9mm and .40. Never had to "use" one for self defense, but feel confident they would do as well as any other.

Alternating Golden Sabers and Buffalo Bore hard cast flat nose.

After 53 rounds of Federal ammo through mine it quit working. I'll try again and hopefully find something that works when it comes back. The trigger failed to reset. I've got over 400 rounds through the Kahr PM9 without a hitch.
