Back in July, I sent in full payment of $300 for the NRA life membership offer for a membership for my son. The NRA acknowledged they received my payment in July (I believe mid July). They told me they sent out membership materials for me to fill out for my son, and that it would take 2 to 6 weeks to receive. I have not received anything yet, and each time I call the NRA they give me the same song and dance. What about you?

Well it sounded like a great deal, and probably is just that, but man is it taking ever so long to receive the membership materials. I can only wonder how much longer it will take once I fill them out and send them in for my son; but of course before filling them out I have to receive them.

I got in on that deal last year, and if I recall, it took a solid month for my stuff to get to me.

They had this same thing last year. I sent the money in around August last year and I had the membership certificate just in time to frame for Christmas (for my son). So, there's another data point.

One of their telemarketers called me at renewal time and offered me a life membership for $300. I said I'd take it, at which time he switched me over to a woman who said the price would be considerably higher.

As of yesterday, I still had not received the membership nomination package for my son. I called the NRA again, and this time they agreed it should have been received by now. So they took my nomination/ Brendan's membership information over the phone. Supposedly he will receive his actual membership package in 2 weeks.
When he gets that, I guess I'll have to make a contribution to his firearm fund. He has been saving his change toward his first purchase of a firearm. I think he has at least a couple of hundred dollars saved up by now. I gave him $50 a few weeks ago, maybe another $50 is in order to get the ball rolling. He has had his eye on either a Saiga in 7.62x39, or a shotgun.

I did one for my nephew just before the timeline expired. I called last week and they said they had run out of certificates and had to have more printed and that they expect to be getting them sometime this week. They also offered to activate his membership over the phone but I called from work and didn't have his address with me.

The NRA membership might be a little cheaper if they didn't mail out so much junk mail.

I received mine shortly after they cashed the check. Within a month I think. I think mine might have been several months before the summer though???

Done this twice. Once back in Feb. when we got quite a few folks signed up. Pretty sure everybody got their stuff ( or I'd probably heard about it ). Got another offer around June, but was only allowed to sign up one new Life Member. That fellow was good enough to let me know when his stuff arrived ( Sept 2nd ). I was kind of expecting to get the go ahead to sign up more after this promotion ended mid August. But so far, haven't heard a thing.

My son finally received his membershp card and certificate last week while I was in Florida. Took them quite a while considering how fast they took my money, but I suppose foul ups happen and his stuff was probably lost in the mail the first time around.

I've never heard of a $300 Life Membership deal and I get stuff in the mail from them twice a week!
I took advantage of an earlier offer for my NRA Life Membership and the confirmation arrived pretty quickly. They sent another not too long ago and I signed my wife up. [sorta pissed off the NY State inlaws. too bad] Her paperwork showed up pretty quickly too.
