I have a Kadet kit (.22lr conversion slide) I use with my CZ75 SP-01. I generally use CCI ammunition and often (about 1/10 rounds) I must pull the trigger twice to fire a round. This usually seems to happen as I'm firing single action. When the round does not fire I pull the trigger in double action and this usually, but not always works. Anyone else experience this?

i had one and had the same problem. the main spring needs to be stronger to reliably dent the rim sufficiently to ignite a .22 lr. try changing brands of ammo, rem. is real bad about misfires currently, and fed. also has some problems along those lines. if a change of ammo doesn't work contact cz in Kansas city for a rim-fire main spring. so far I've had my best luck with cci standard velocity.

It may be ammo

OR the mainspring. If you are using a STOCK mainspring, it should ignite all comers. I have found Federal Match bargain ammo better than Remington Golden Bullet for he Kadet. If you are using a 16LB mainspring, this could be the issue. My 16 LB spring does well with Federal, but not so much with Remington. People with 15 and below have issues. Some pretty savvy CZ guys say that you should have NO problems with 17LB or better.

OTOH, if you have a particularly strong firing pin spring, this could be a problem.

I had a problem with mine because there was some build up in the firing pin channel. Cleaning it took care of the problem. Other than the occasional round, which happens with all of my 22s, I've had no problems with the Federal or Remington bulk packs in my Kadet.

I'll second the Federal bulk pack for the Kadet. Mine never fails to fire with that stuff - well, almost never. Just about any rimfire ammo is going to misfire from time to time.

Also, my experience with .22s is that if they stop working correctly, they usually need to be cleaned. Some are more finicky than others.

I have a new Kadet Kit and the same problem.

My firing pin channel was clean and free of any burrs.

CZ-USA is sending me a new fring pin spring, but others say that
if you clip a few coils, the problem will go away.

I shoot Single action and get the light strikes.

The same gun ran 100% with the same ammo and an older Kadet years ago.

When it does run it... is a joy to shoot accurate groups with.
