Feel free to call Kendall Berman at 312.819.2433 to let her know what you think about the DNC and 'Obama for America' attempting to squash the 1st ammendment in an effort to kill the 2nd. The DNC is threatening to use their influence with the FCC to hurt stations that run the NRA ads. That's just wrong.

I have two words for Mr. Obama.

BRING. IT.

Would love to see Mr. Obama answer the charges of the ads under oath.

Of course the goal is twofold. 1) they want to discredit the ads by claiming they are lies without actually confronting the allegations. and 2) If they are actually able to get this into court there would likely be a court order halting the ads until its settled in court (which wouldn't happen until after the election).

If Mr. Obama is successful, expect every campaign to start suing over every ad run (which is why he won't be successful).

Actually, this is very much in character for Obama. I think he learned an important lesson from the Clintons about performing a total blitzkrieg on anyone who disagrees with you. Read the following:

Gov. Blunt Statement on Obama Campaign’s Abusive Use of Missouri Law Enforcement

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.

“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

“Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society.”

I've followed way too many of Obama's votes in the Senate to think that he could win a lawsuit against the NRA for their ad. The ad is true. You can't be sued when what you say is true.

Thanks for the link. Not only did I join this forum, but I also decided to join the NRA.

I called and left a message. It was after hours but I will call back tomorrow. I wonder how many phone calls they could get on the topic.

Like the HCI lawsuits against gun manufacturers, the aim is twofold: One. Intimidation. and two. eat up cash for legal representation.

I am just another NRA member clinging to my guns and Bible. I hope the masses wise up and make sure this guy never gets to be President. I know that the NRA is soo scared of BO. (lol) :cuss:
