I should get real worked up over the NRA ILA's right to lie about Obama?

Actually, as a 1st Amendment advocate, I am worked up about it. Political speech is and should be the most heavily protected speech - and it's hard to imagine speech more political than campaign ads.

But as a member of the NRA, I wish they wouldn't tell lies. Shame on us.

Seem's par for the course to me, assault the 1st Ammendment to destroy the 2nd Ammendment. Obama is a real jerk in my opinion. These tactics should really scare people, launching attacks against freedom of speech and the right to bear arms is straight out of the Communist playbook!

I had to edit after reading Yemen's post. Go look at his voting record over the years in the Illinois State Senate, he is the most anti-gun politician to ever run for President in our history, that is a FACT! In my opinion, shame on you for voting for the jerk.

I also agree with another poster that after McCain's disastrous debate performance and the liklihood that Palin will fumble Thursday's debate, I REALLY hate to say this, but I think McCain is done.

Join the NRA and to give the Nobama crowd a little fun. Obama hates how his political record is hurting him in a good amount of America, so he tries to change it like he is suddenly changing his mind on many issues.

Clinton was awful to gunowners, and sadly i'd take him for a third term over Obama.

He'd tell us , "Why do you need a 'high powered' 30-30 with a sniper scope to elk hunt, when the Indians used archery". He thought that the 2nd amendment didn't apply to DC because it wasn't a state. So does that mean you have freedom of religion and speech in one state, but you must be a member of ABC church in another state? Very flawed reasoning.

Obama supported the Chicago gun ban. So sue me DNC. It's still the truth.

Yes, I'm bummed, as an American soldier who fought for what I believed in, but what's now happening involves the enslavement of ALL Americans. How could any sane person vote AGAINST the Second Amendment of our CONSTITUTION? 5-4 "for" WAS totally ludicruous! This vote should NEVER have occurred to BEGIN with! How dare any power consider removing the PEOPLES' POWER of Government! What's next on the agenda? Voting is a governmental RIGHT. I think we need to take a higher road during these times and allow political threads.

Allow it just through the election!

1) Obama supports "Gun-Free Zones"
2) My school is a "Gun-Free Zone"
3) Obama is going to be giving a speech at my school tomorrow
4) Everyone who wants to see it will be searched and has to leave their bags and umbrellas behind upon entering the viewing area.

I was down in Creston, Iowa last week and heard an ad on the local radio station about how important our 2A rights are to us and that McCain is a big liar because BO does NOT in any way want to take our guns away. I about lost my lunch when I heard that. Creston and the Creston radio listening area is a big AG area but most of the people seem to vote dem (mostly because the dems seem to dish out more free money to farmers is the only reason that I can think of) But a dem that wants to take away guns would cross the line. The worst part is I doubt very many people will take the time to check it out to see if it is true or not.
