Do you like Japanese cartoons with realistic guns shown?

Rally Vincent and Minnie May from GUNSMITH CATS were certainly an inspiration for the protagonist of my novel ALL NIGHT RADIO and her "sidekick."

Don't even mention the sequel! I swear, I'm working on it!

In one episode of Gits 2nd GIG episode 10 I believe Togusa uses his weapons and goes to trial I highly recommend this video to all who CCW as an example of what a DA or lawyer could do,

The remake of Appleseed has some phenomenal fight scenes- the gun handling is a bit futuristic- but the ability to capture movement of the human form is impressive- Which I think bebop did extremely well.

gungrave was already mentioned- but its very good. as is gunslinger girl.

The defense attorney tries to show that Togusa, and not the attacker, was at fault for the woman's death because he was using an obsolete weapon instead of something more modern, like the rest of Section 9.

Who says anime isn't realistic?

Gunslinger Girls is fun, but the voices on the english dub can get kind of annoying.
Cowboy Bebop is also really good, both the gunplay and the story.

I've been meaning to look at Gunsmith Cats, either the anime or the manga.

most anime I don't like that much, didn't enjoy blue gender at all, and I only watched part of an episode of Ghost in the Shell and I wasn't a fan.

Oh, I was watching gunslinger girl with my friend and he thought I was crazy because I could name the brands of the ammo from the boxes. So that gives you an idea of the attention to detail and accuracy.

(they were shooting Fiocci and Winchester Winclean BTW)

The guy who did Gunsmith Cats is a real gun and car geek. They even made sure to use the sounds from the particular guns that are being used in a given scene, as well as the car sounds from a given car.

I love it when geeks are in control of movies, shows, or games, or at least given free reign to get as anal as they please. The Ace Combat games are like that as well, I think most or all of their sounds came from recordings they took of aircraft with the Japanese Defense Force.

It baffles me that a culture (Japan) can be so unbelievably gun-obsessed, and yet have the most restrictive gun culture ever.

Regardless of the inclusion of firearms in Bebop, it is one of the best animes I have ever seen, if not THE best.

Spike: Why do you kill your own followers? What's the point of that?
Dr.Londes: I didn't kill anyone; these people believed in something, and so they are the ones who killed, they did this of their own free will... Tell me, why do you think people believe in God? Because they want to. It's not easy living in such an ugly and corrupt world. There is no certainty and nothing to hope for. People are lost, so they reach out. Don't you get it? God didn't create humans. No, it's humans who created God.
