they should just kick colt in the nuts and make 'em anyways.

1) Smith and Wesson 696 (5 shot L frame 3-inch .44 special)
2) A Charter Arms Bulldog Pug of the quality they used to make
3) Ruger PC9 and PC40 that take glock mags
4) J frame Smith that takes 40 S/W - was a model 940?

If someone were smart

They'd reintroduce the STAR PD with BETTER metallurgy (which seems easy today). They could make it in the Phillipines (Hello Armscor) and sell it for $450 - and actually have parts for it.

Indeed. Then we could get some more mags made.

dude, just buy the 12 rounder mec-gars for the cz-75b in 40sw and they work better than the originals. i have ten that work in 1200 rounds a month with speed reloads.

if you need 10 rounders, there should be cz-75b 40sw mags in that capacity as well...

SMLE No.4 in 7.62x51 with the 10-12 magazine from the Ishapore 2A1. Have scout scope mounting points standard, for good measure.

American 180 .22LR ( but only if new automatic weapons are allowed. Who Wouldn't want to write their name with a full-auto .22?)

High Standard Model 10B bullpup shotgun... except made on another chassis. The 10A and 10B were innovative, but the execution wasn't optimal.

Since we're throwing out options....

A modern LeMatt revolver, with a normal side-gate loading action combined with a slide-forward barrel for the shotgun axis.

A Colt 1908.

A P5.

A Colt 357, or at least the Colt Trooper.

A 9mm TT33.

C96 clones in the various calibres.

That's about it on my list.

Colt DA Revolvers

Colt Double Action Revolvers - They dropped one of their best lines. This is not a revolver vs semi statement. Just a shame to see these great classics not made anymore.

My vote would be for an Old Model Blackhawk. I like my Dads old model more then my New Model. Mostly because I was raised with SA, non transfer bar revolvers.

A "high quality" replica of the Hi Standard supermatic target pistols.

Not the junk that has been recently produced by the clone factories.

Sig P210
Hämmerli 208s
A non-custom 1911 with 7" barrel in both .45ACP and 10mm and actually works reliably.

+1 on the Mauser C96 in 9mm or 7.62x25, especially the 7.62x25
