Recommendations for a range bag

Here's mine...very cheap at WalMart....its roomy and hands free.

I have a Shooters Connection bag, and it will easily fit everything you mentioned + some! (Hey, you never know when you might increase your collection and need to take more gear to the range)

I admit, the bag is slightly large, but I carry alot of gear when Im going to spend the day at the range, and I like to have everything in one bag.

The bag is fantastic quality. The only downside I have even heard, is that Californians do not like the lack of locking options for it.

Well, what's your budget?

Well, for that $39 you could look for Hatch LE gear bags.

They get bigger than that MidwayUSA bag at that price.

Mine is a craftsman tool bag from sears hardware. Plenty of room and pockets, more durable than most shooter bags I've seen, and only about $25.

I use a pair of Wolf range bags. Was something like $15 for the small and $25 for the large at a gun shows. I've used them for over three years now and they've held up very well, and I cram as much stuff in there as I can with my ability to pick them up as my limit. The large is only for rimfire, otherwise I couldn't pick it up So bigger is not always better, but since I usually take 3-6 .22 pistols and 1000-1500 rounds of ammo with me, the large works great for this

I use a Long Boy tool bag from BucketBoss, I got mine from Amazon, I signed up for their credit card and got $30 off on my first purchase so the bag only cost me $6.95.
It is 24 inches long and will hold 6 handguns and my Marlin 39m(broken down).

I also have a couple of the Midway range bags. They were on sale for $30 so I got 2. I don't think you can do better for the money. Actually pretty well made.

I find the tool bags are tough, roomy and cheap. All of the internal loops and pockets, plus the external pockets.

They are made to carry heavy loads and stand up to solvents. What more can you ask for?

+1 on the Craftsman tool bag. It's designed to hold a lot of weight, has useful pockets and web loops, and doesn't shout "Guns!" to the casual observer.

Go for the Midway bag. The accessory bags and pistol mat that come with it add to the value.

Those roller duffle bags are easy on your back when lugging heavy ammo.

I use the GunMate from MidWay, holds two pistols and all the gear you listed. It works for me, your mileage may vary...

just a sugestion. try different sizes cardboad boxes first. that way, you will get a feel for the size and shape you want before you buy it. when i bought mine, i bought as big as i could find. it works, i can carry everything i will ever need, including all of my handguns and ammo. the problem is, when i want to go with only a few things, it is so large and bulky, i end up leaving it at home. and end up using a soft sided cooler that we have.

When I go to the pistol range, I have an el-cheapo brand toolBOX from wally world. It has a deep main bin and half of the lid is a long bin. I store two 50-round bricks of .45 at each end, standing on end. I wear my work goggles in, so all I need is space for my ears, a stapler, and a little medi-kit. I can throw my cleaning kit into the little upper bin if I take it out of the box and put it in a baggie.

I used to carry essentially your rig in a big ammo box, think it was a 20mm bin. I switched to the toolbox because it DIDN'T have sharp corners....

I use a Filson zippered bag with leather straps - it can hold a much weight as I can carry!

For a number of years now, I've been using nylon tote bags that were free where I worked or part of some promotional give-away from various organizations. Most of them are about 14" long, 12" wide, and 12" deep. All have one large main compartment, a small front compartment; some have two side pockets, others have nylon mesh pouches instead. They all easily hold two pistol rugs, two hearing protectors, ammo, and holsters in the main compartment; magazines and other gear in the front and side pockets. I have one for my pistols, one for my rifle gear, one for trap, and two more for the kid's guns and gear. They've all held up very well over the years.

I just emptied out one of my tool bags and started using it. Seems to work pretty well although it is a little on the large side. I put 4 handguns in it, 3 boxes of 9mm and one 38 special (all 100 packs), 3 ear muffs, a cleaning kit, a can of break free and 3 holsters. Weighed a ton but held it all. I only wish it was broken into partitions/compartments instead of one big bag with pockets. Prices was right though, I think I paid around $16 for it.
