Chinese M14 Rebuild?

SEI was and is my #1 recommendation to anyone interested in a custom build.

Ron has built 4 M14s for me so far and all 4 have turned out better than expected :)

Smith Enterprise + to the Nth power!;)
While I would not consider any other M-14 smith, there are other M-14 specialists around. The general local gunsmith IS NO the guy to bring one to,:scrutiny:

Got it back today from Warbirds. I just can't stand custom jobs. Nothing goes right. It's just money down the rathole.

If you are comfortable with saying so prior to talking to the smith, what went wrong?

Warbirds e-mailed me back. He did not put on the Vortex that I wanted and I still have that inane faux flash suppressor that the PLA put on.

Guns are so frustrating. Must be why I like them soooo much.:D

Confusion over extent of job. So much for technology being a boon to mankind.:D

The work he did was absolutely brilliant. The bolt is almost Krag-like. I drooled over it last night. The trigger is "glass rod" but still able to withstand a AFV driving over it. Just like I like.:D

So, the job didn't turn out like you planned and you are thrilled with the job? :scrutiny:

You Betcha!

I'm now thinking I should have Ron build me another 18.0" M14 on my last Norinco receiver.
I think one of his standard profile M118LR barrels with M80HT and a new TRW bolt should do the trick

It just wasn't perfect. Translation: El T is going to have to ship it back out and have the correct FH put on it, in lieu of the silly OEM muzzle device (which is an abomination, BTW).

El T, If I may ask, what did you have done and how much did it cost?

Mike
