Low and behold I do not have a rifle with a scope on it. I've been loving my Mosin 91/59 and was thinking a scoped Mosin would be the way to go considering how cheap ammo is compared to other full size rifle calibers. Now here is the hard question...will one of the PU setup's such as this work for a lefty? I've worked up enough cash back rewards with work related purchases to buy a couple of these and it may be time for an early Xmas present. Alternatively I could buy a regular 91/30 with my C&R and scope it. However, the PU setup is historic in nature and...seems just so much cooler.

Ok I'm a nerd

I have seen lefty's cycle a mosin nagant before. They simply reached over the receiver and probably cycled easier since they used the receiver as a fulcrum. By the way, InterOrdnance is selling their M91/30 sniper setup for $349 right now. Seems like a great buy.
I may look into one myself.

I've heard iffy things about InterOrdnance so I may get a hand-select from JG Sales if it's worth the extra money.

keep in mind those currently sold by IO, SOG, J&G, etc... are all fakes

they may or may not be decent shooters but will have no collectors value

Oh I'm quite aware of that. Unfortunately I'm not in a high enough tax bracket to afford the real thing. I just did not want to bubba a Mosin myself.

ehhh yes and no.

they arnt fakes like you see at some gunshows.

Many mosins were taken straight from he factory, drilled for the scope mount then plugged up. they were stored. and eventually surplussed. they are being bought, the scope mount holes cleared out and put with a surplus ( and anecdotally new commercial) scope

these are the same fakes you see at gunshows... they grab the refurb infantry rifles direct from the crates (they don't cherry pick for ex-snipers), drill them, add reproduction scope/mount, then sell them to the importers
