Wait!

"... What I REALLY wanted was a decent AK ,seeings how my WASR was under 2 ft of water for a week courtesy if Hurricane IKE . But from the sounds of it decent AK's are kinda few and far between now. ..."

And that stopped said AK from functioning?

AK's arent hurricaneproof?!? :uhoh:

nwilliams could make you guys want to buy a Lorcin. Fine photography every time.

Thanks. One of the fun parts for me about buying new guns is the chance to photograph them. It seems like these days guns are the only thing I'm photographing now, unfortunately I'm not getting paid for it:rolleyes:

The Tac CAT is a $500 option after shots and neutering. The main function of the Tac CAT is to form a front line of defense so you can go grab the Shotgun.

First you shake up the 18lb CAT to properly distribute its anger, then toss it upon the attacker. Next, retrieve the "A" weapon (shotgun). By this time the CAT will have retreated to a suitable location and will have begun its break down/cleaning procedure to ready itself for the next deployment.

You can now safely Engage the intruder.

Last step is to get the Tac CAT high on CAT/NIP, and hes good to go for the next encounter.
You have no idea how close you came to owing me a new keyboard! Had I taken that sip of coffee 5 seconds sooner...

The TAC CAT, however, pales in comparison to the TAC DOG III System. The main difference being that with the TAC DOG III, no shaking is necessary; the system is designed so that all anger is properly distributed at all times.

I have one old cat who doesn't care anymore, and one scaredycat, but I do have a Pit who will be on the front line, with the minitaure Daschund under his feet, acting tough as long as her buddy is there.

I bought a couple of things in the last year getting ready for possible bad times. Here is one.

I have not bought anything post election. I do still have some I want, but nothing tacticool high on the list.

Actually..

....I've been dreading unpacking/cleaning the AK, much less shooting it. The leather strap was mold ridden when I finally pulled it out. I'll clean it and size it up today.

Always had heard about the legendary abuse AK's could take and still work - never thought I'd have a real world opportunity to test that theory out. :scrutiny:

EDIT: just pulled it out of the canvas case I had it in and its UGLY. Rust all over the receiver/gas tube/barrel, the leather is green and moldy. When I get my digi-cam up and running I'll post some pics - before and after. Hopefully nobod's squeamish.

Bolt did open and slide smooth as silk so thats a good sign.

Shootest, let me know what you want for it.;)

Mr White:

Sorry, I was drunk when I posted that. Send beer and Ill post more.

As there has been a run on all types of firearms in my area, I cannot afford anything. All the local gunshops are vampirically raising prices, preying upon the frenzied, prematurely paranoid masses. I went into my local shop for RCBS headed decapping pins(normally $2.00 for a pack of five) and they had raised the price to $11.99. ***? Hornady One-shot normally 6.50, now $11.49. 1 Pound of Hodgdon's BLC2 normally $19.90 now $28.49. The place was as packed as I have ever seen it. Folks buying stuff they really didn't need left and right. For years the owner would give me 10% off for buying 1000 primers at a time. Not only did he raise the price $1.00 per pack of 100, he said sorry Steve, I just can't afford that kind of discount right now. Shyster. I'm sorry but I blame the panicking public as much as I do the exploitative gun dealers.

Wait - can't afford a discount right now? huh? People makin money hand over fist - now is EXACTLY the time when a lot of people can "afford" to give discounts to loyal customers.
It's a question of whether they *want* to give discounts...

I don't have a picture yet... but I bought an SKS with black stock, so I would say it qualifies as an EBR, it was my present to myself in consolation of O winning the election. I will have to post a picture after I shoot it.... which maybe a while, no one locally has any 7.62x39 except for Big 5 which has one box of hunting ammo and wants $20. I am however on a list at one of the local stores...
:fire:

But everyone knows what an SKS looks like anyhow and this one pretty much looks like that, except for the black Ram Line stock.
