First Number is number of home defense configured shotguns. Second number is hunting shotguns. Me:

2 / 5 (not counting Taurus Judge)

count them as two separate guns. Count game guns as hunting, since that's the reason for / roots of the gun games - wingshot hunting.

7/7/7
HD / Hunting / Clay gun

All serve the same purpose! I shoot all of them regular enough to have an excuse to clean them and stay familiar. I shoot clays regularly with my normal clay gun, but lately I always take one of my lessor shot models to shoot a round with at the end of the day. Keeps me up on using them and adds to my shotgun prowess. I know this isn't exactly how your question was asked. As far as having a home defense only shotgun, I don't have the tacticool or 18" setup. Just a bone stock pump gun is good enough for HD in my house being I know how to use it. Nice thread for discussion!

I have no idea the ratio, but I am 0 and 8. You guys are the ones scaring Obama and his buddies !
Seriously, I am on your side, but when I see a 12 gauge pump, with a folding stock and a pistol grip, an extended magazine, a laser sight, and extra rounds in a saddle, and a doorbreaker thingy, and I hear the phrase "home defense", I have to chuckle. Some lawyer is really going to get done out of a fee is some douchebag tries to break into your home! :what: The undertakers oughta like it though.
P.S. - I depend on a Labrador and a 44.

Well I think that is true about any of the guns that any of the gun owners own on this forum. I'm pretty sure more than 90% of the time any gun owner shoots thier gun(s), it is at the range.

I don't own any Home Defense shotguns.

Those two all black short barreled 870s with mag extensions and peeps are deer guns.

The one I call Frankenstein is a turkey gun. I use it for waterfowl also.

That Kalishnikov is a competition gun for steel plate shooting and it's a loaner anyway.

My good friend sm may call that NEF single shot a Home Defense shotgun, but it's Son's first shotgun and I last killed some squirrels with it.

Nope, no Home Defense shotguns here....

5/4 I'm counting my doubles as home defense weapons, which they certainly qualify to be. A double is configured for home defense, no matter what situation may arise in the defense of your home.

1 - for both. Actually, I don't hunt yet, but since home invasions have been non-existent so far (thank God), I need to bring out my 870 express 20 gauge and see if I can't get a gobbler with it this spring.
