I don't know if this has been said or thought of before but I was just thinking of a different way of refuting the claims of anti's. Now it seems to me that we pro-gunners have statistics as well as that little thing called the Constitution on our side. Of course, we have seen over the years how anti's don't really care about stats or the 2nd Amendment and prefer to appeal to the 'emotional' instead of the factual. It has been said many times that guns SAVE lives but this fact still seems to be thrown to the wind.

So, getting to the point, a lot of anti-gunners are protected by guns or even own guns. Do any of you think that if this fact were pointed out more then we could draw some more people to our side? Basically my argument against their 'emotional' claims would be what makes their lives more important than ours? What gives them the right to protect themselves or be protected better than we are? Are we not important? Do you intend to empower criminals? Do we not have a right to protect ourselves and our families? How can you ban certain types of weapons not knowing a situation someone might face? There are different types of weapons for a reason.

I was just wondering if you think this might work since emotion seems to work so well for them. Maybe we have to appeal more to emotions also and not just statistics.
