Your "Dream" Carry Gun

Too many ideas

My take would be either a wather PPS with thumb safety, or and alloy Kahr K9s/a with a thumb safety. The Springer EMP 9mm for a more reasonable $400 is up there on the list also. Oh how about the new Sig P238 in 9mm.

My dream carry gun is a GLOCK 22 or 31 with Warren Tactical sight, stippled frame, a slicked up trigger and +5 basepads on the mags. 21 rounds of .40 or .357 Sig is big medicine for a handgun. The only problem is that it is way too big to CCW- so I settle for a G27.

A polymer DA/SA Makarov with decocker safety and a 12 round staggered mag chambered in 7.62x25.

Hmm, how about a pistol the size of a cigarette pack that holds 20 or more rounds of 10mm and has very little recoil.

Until that comes around I will stick with my XD45 and my P3AT.

Dream Carry Pocketable: The discontinued Kel Tec P-40 with a reversable magazine release (I'm left handed)...so I had to settle for the P-11 which I carry almost every day....until I will find a screaming deal on a ultra compact Kahr in 40 S&W.

With the P-11 I'm very very close to my ideal pocket carry.

Dream Carry Full Size: A strong and trouble free EA Witness capable of digesting true 10 mm Auto loads, with ambidx safety, decocker, reversable mag relase button and with a very good Customer Service.

Alternative Dream Carry Full Size:...a SIG in 10 mm or Bersa Thunder full size in 10 mm.

For me it would be a TRUE pocket pistol chambered in .40S&W I am talking Kel-tec P3AT size or just SLIGHTLY larger to accommodate the round. The closest thing I have seen is the AMT backup in .45acp.

After that it would be a single stack M&P with crimson trace grips

And now for one to bend if not break the laws of physics and political correctness.

A suppressed pistol with a polymer frame say the size of a glock 17 but having the can built in so it didn't really add any bulk to the gun. Of course it would have to have laser grips and be discrete looking enough so if I was forced to draw it would take a trained eye to realize it was suppressed. This would be my perfect gun all around, carry, HD and Range.

A S&W 469 that shoots where I point it, and isn't all worn out. Maybe with tritium sights and a nice lightened-and-smoothed trigger.

For some money and smithing, that could actually happen. I'm just a simple guy. :)

One of these:

or this:
Kahr T-9 worked on by C&S with a Mitch Rosen ARG:)

I had some troble getting at the release with my thumb on the stock grips, this is one of the mods C&S did:

Hmm... i guess a stainless HK P46 (aka UCP) in 4,6x30 with palisander grips

and a Korth revolver custom snubbie in .357 as a backup :)

I think I would like one of the really small 1911's in 9mm ask me tomorrow and I would say I want it in a .40 then another day and I would say no no no in .45ACP.

Colt Single Action Army, .44 spl cal, 4 3/4" barrel, nickel, 3/4 coverage hand engraved, one piece Ivory grips, carved in either a buffalo head or Mexican eagle pattern. Hand polished/tuned action, regular weight springs. Sighted in for the Keith load (250 gr Lyman 429421 @ 1200 fps)before plating.

OK, it used to be a polymer single-stack striker-fired ultra-thin 9mm, but there are a few out there and none appeal to me. So I'll go with ultra-thin (less than 1" at widest part of the grip) single-stack, all-metal, DA/SA, compact 9mm. Along the lines of the Walther PPS but metal, with an exposed hammer. 7+1 capacity.

I'd trade off a little accuracy for a lot of concealability coupled with power. I like the Glock 29 for such a thing. I'd knock off a little recoil and throw an EFK Firedragon recoil spring, add "Speed Sights" for faster target acquistion and a Pearce Grip extender for better control. Of course if you don't mind the recoil, or would rather drop in a .357 Sig or .40 S&W barrel, and feel like paying out the nose for a Lasermax You could do that too. As far as accuracy goes I figure if the guy I need to shoot is too far away then he's far enough away for me to get myself and those I love out of harms way and someplace safe.

A S&W 500 magnum with 8 3/8" barrel and standard compensator or Taurus' "The Judge" with a 6 1/2" barrel and a blue finish.

Dream gun - a variant of the Judge:
-autoloader
-10 rounds
-12 gauge
-reliable
-concealable
-legal in my state

My dream gun would also have a silencer/suppressor.
