So a local gun shop has a Remington model 11 that is completely broken down (I.E. down to the last spring). If I bought it could I restore it, and then resell it? For a profit? Not for a profit? Back to the shop? Or maybe just put it on consignment in the shop?

Is there any reason that this might not work (legally)? Basically my main question is am I able to buy the gun restore it (might include some new parts, if that matters) and resell it, as I have no use for another 12ga?

I have no FFL. Could I do the work for the shop (if I got the owner to agree) for a cut of what it would sell for?

Basically is there any way I can restore this gun and sell it legally (sorry to ask it in so many ways)?

What about if I just did the work, and got paid for the work?

If you know how to assemble the weapon I'd buy it and assemble it. Then shoot it. If it works properly and you don't want it any more then sell it for what the market will bear. One gun won't draw BATF ire. Repeat often and all bets are off.

Buy it and restore it. It will make a good project. Make sure it functions well and you may be surprised how much you like it after putting in the time and effort. I often buy old broken guns and have a lot of fun fixing them up and shooting them then sell it to finance the next one. Don't expect to make any money though as unless you get it for free you will be spending a lot of time and some money on parts and refinishing.

Good luck with the model 11, they are a P.I.T.A.! Also watch out for M-11 thumb, where the bolt closes on your thumb (caught in the ejection port). They can be finicky guns.
