Length: 960 mm (860mm for collapsible butt "S" models)
Barrel length: 510 mm (also 320 mm or 610 mm)

The T-14 shotgun was developed by Turkish company Safir Arms. It is broadly based on the famous Ar-15 / M16 rifle, but has several patented features necessary for reliable functioning with shotgun-type ammunition. At the present time it is offered in only one caliber, .410x65 (also known as 36 gauge, 2 /12 inch chamber). With .410 caliber bullet weighting 7.5 gram (116 grains) manufacturer claims muzzle velocity in 700 m/s (2,290 fps) range, providing muzzle energy of about 1,800 Joules (1,320 ft-lbs). The T-14 shotgun is semi-automatic only and is available in different barrel lengths to make it legal for civilian use in various countries that permit its citizens to own shotguns.

The T-14 shotgun is gas operated weapon with rotary bolt locking. The gas system utilizes annual (ring-type) short-stroke gas piston, located around the barrel. For maintenance and cleaning gas piston can be removed from the barrel after removing the front sight with its base. The bolt group externally resembles the Ar-15 bolt, but has redesigned bolt head with three radial lugs and ejector, optimized for rimmed shotgun shells. The receiver is similar in design to Ar-15 rifles, and made from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and consists of two parts (upper an lower), connected by two cross-pins. Trigger unit and manual safety also resemble same units of the Ar-15 rifle. T-14 shotguns are produced either with integral, M16A2-type carrying handle and rear sight block, or with M16A3-type flat-top receiver with Picatinny rail. Furniture is made of plastic, and buttstocks are available either in fixed or in telescoped (M4-type) variety. Detachable box magazines are specially designed for rimmed shotgun ammunition.

Looks good but Just paying more for a piece of crap to malfunction. I will stick with my age old reliable Mossbergs and Remingtons. They serve their design purpose and cost 1/10 of what a AR14 would cost. Looks don't count in a gun fight.

I usually prefer AR's to AK's, but it doesn't seem worth having a shotgun set up like that in .410. I would much rather have a Saiga in 20ga or 12ga.

I wonder how well it will cycle with the gas tube placement.

I have always loved the .410 even though it is considered a black sheep. Most consider it a "youth" gun but i consider it an experts gun. I could have sworn there was already a saiga or other AK platform in .410.

I'm waiting for the CMMG AR 12 gauge, if it ever exists as anything more than a 2009 SHOT Show mockup.

There has been posting of other rifles just like this, I somehow doubt it's the "first smoothbore shotgun modeled after an assault rifle". I'm with shear_stress on this one, I'll be waiting on a 12ga.

hmmm...
12gauge in an AR type firearm.
Where have I seen this before.

Reclassified as a Destructive Device and banned from importation due to no meeting the "sporting purpose" definition to allow for importation.

410 also known as a 36 ga, I havent heard that one in ages. For all you young punks a 410 has a bore diameter of 410 which translates to about a 68 gauge. A 36 gauge would be around .500 cal. Back in the day someone decided to sell 410 ammo under the designation 36 gauge. I cant believe someone is still doing it.

That 15 rnd capacity is too cool though.

With the .410 3" buckshot shell(5-00's), your only 2-3 less 00-buck shot than a 2 3/4" 12g(8/9-00's) and slug performance similar to a .357mag.It ain't no slouch. The .410 has very similar velocity and shot pattern as allot of 12g loads, just less shot per square inch in your pattern. I would recommend some of the all copper shells for one of these, or the all steel cases russian stuff .

So this AR ""style"" .410 came out before the .410 Saigi, because they are trying to claiming the first .410 assault rifle platform.

This reminds me that the 7.62x39,6.5mm,or 6.8mm( i forget wich) has the same case rim dimension as a .357sig(40S&W) and would make a nice carbine or SBR.Some one should make a .380acp/auto AR(maybe pistol) for ****z and gigglez as the case head is near identical to the .223. I would have went the rout of a .357mag before the .410 though.

I'll stick to my Saiga 12 ga semi auto wit hthe 12 round surefire mags, thank you very much. :) Not saying I wouldn't mind one of these, but when it comes to a shotgun I want all the power I can get.

Does anyone know when the AA-12 is going on the civilian market? Now that is really a gun I would love to have. If I can get full auto version I be in heaven :D
