Glock Carbine / PDW

The pistol grip behind the Glock's grip is kind of weird...

...and it needs a suppressor.

Nevertheless, things like these are the reason I own 33-round 9mm Glock mags, even though I don't own a Glock. ;)

Looks like it would make a fun SBR. I don't see it on that website. Is it available in the US?

Its not yet on their homepage, but should be out soon. They have an US distributor too.

Glock needs a real Carbine / PDW or Rifle or they will start loosing even more LEA contracts worldwide.
the trend definitely goes towards the one-stop Armory.

Why not buy a real carbine

- I run a CZ VZ 58 with folding stock -

And have done with it?

Absolutely don't understand trying to turn

A pistol into a long gun.

The only people who accomplished anything close to this were

The TC Contender, and their mission was

A super accurate high caliber pistol,

Not a long gun.

???????????????

Watching the other videos with the one with the front handgrip..... Thats REALLY REALLY close to the muzzle. Good way to lose a finger if you're in a hurry.

It looks to me like a short strap with the buckle on the end.

I wonder how quick it is to put the pistol in the chasis or to remove it.

In many countries handguns are easier to own than military looking semiautomatic rifles in military calibers (globally the US "stocked handgun = SBR" regulation is quite a novelty). Most non-US shooters also are only allowed a certain number of guns. In those political climates a conversion kit makes a lot of sense.

But even in the USA I would rather get this kit instead of a Marlin Camp, Ruger PC or Beretta 9mm carbine. For one its the trusty Glock 9mm thats at work here, no need for other magazines (Glocks 33rds!) or spare parts, its far more compact and has lots of rail space.

It has a charging handle and there is no pistol grip behind the Glock grip, its a sling adapter.

that is the problem.
it still is the glock. While yes, you have all the relaiability with the added benefit of a stock and rails, you still have the short barrel and the magazine inside the Pistol grip.
it does make a nice range toy, sure, but thats about it.

seriously, Glocks needs a real Carbine inn both, a Pistol Caliber and Rifle Caliber if they want to keep there Dominance of the LEO market.

Wow, a pistol with crappy ergonomics gets turned into a carbine with crappy ergonomics and poor handling characteristics. I'm impressed.:barf:

glock still has and will have the pistol market for LE for a long time. There would be no point in them making a short barreled anything in a rifle caliber because there are a million companies doing just that. Sure they might be able to tap into the market, but they are doing just fine with pistols. Carbine's that shoot pistol rounds aren't to popular, and law enforcement wouldn't have much of a use for them. In LE you have your sidearm (and nobody is going to have a carbine holstered), and then a rifle or a shotgun in the car. There really isn't a place for a pistol caliber carbine in law enforcement. Again since they are doing just fine with their pistols, there wouldn't be much of a benefit to them trying to come to the market with another carbine rifle. The cost to develop a new carbine rifle to take on the ar15 would be huge, and might not pay off.

Reminds me of an FN P90 with its bullpup design. I'd be interested in trying one of these out once they come out in the US. I hope Kel-Tec starts making some new Sub-2000s too as well since they take either G17 or G19 mags depending on the model.

If your going the SBR route with Tax stamp, finger printing, Sheriff and Atf approval signatures etc......

minus well do it right and get a decent rifle. P90, Ar, Sig 556.....

A pistol rifle thingy? No thanks.

I can buy a KT sub 2k for $269. It takes glock mags and is accurate to the effective range of a pistol caliber carbine. It is a lot of gun for the money and the perfect accessory for a Glock owner.

For police applications a real rifle caliber makes more sense in a long arm. I own and like pistol caliber carbines but I would take a rifle caliber over any of them for serious tasks.
