Eye Candy for today is a set of personalized Laminated Cocobolo grips. These grips were made oversize to fit the man's hand. They are .335 in thickness whereas the standard 1911 grip is .250. This gentleman has another set of grips that I made for him the same thickness and he swears that it has helped his shooting 90%, because of the grips fitting his personal grip. I love to build and customize grips, if anyone would like help or instructions on building grips or customizing, I will be glad to help you. I have no secrets when it comes to woodworking.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!

The gentleman sent me some pictures of the grips on the gun. What do you think? Sure changes the looks of the grips, and the gun I am sure. In case someone wants to know, the gun is a Ed Brown
Enjoy!

I think I saw some 24" wheels on a Chevy Caprice that looked like that. :)

Here is a few pictures of some grips that are hand made with no animation.Kinda got a negative on the last post I made, so I will see what this one gets. PICT0425.jpg

This is just a few of the many grips that I have made.

Hey, I didn't mean to come off as being negative. (Note the smiley face.) They all look like quality grips and you obviously are pretty talented.

I also noticed you are from Diamondhead. I live on the coast also, where do you go to shoot?

Sorry I took your post wrong. Didn't really know how to take the smiley.
Thanks for the kind words.
Yes, I live in Diamondhead and am sorry to say I don't belong to any of the shooting clubs here on the coast. I do have a friend that is a member at the Woolmarked club, so I may shoot with him in the future.
I am from Tennessee originally and get back up there about 3 times a year. Since that is a rural area and you can shoot anywhere you want, I do most of my shooting while I am there. I usually take about 5 to 6 hundred rounds each trip, and come back with a few. I love shooting but just don't have anyone to shoot with here. Also while here at home I have a lot going on and don't have much free time.
If you live close by and would like to meet and shoot sometime, give me a shout.
