If you could only own one Sig, which would it be?

Oh, lord, the 210. With the NATO force in Afghanistan we got to try out the weapons of our gallant allies. The Danish AF came with their 210s, and all I could think while firing was, "like buttah."

Sadly, I knew a Danish airwoman who got her sidearm heisted when she plunged into a scrum of Af kids to take some photos. There's some little grub who doesn't know what a stupendous piece of weaponry he has - or some lucky talib.

226 Blackwater. Comes w/ 5 mags & the infamus "Bear Paw" logo; I know it's a marketing gimmick; (I've heard Blackwater actually issues Glocks) but just the availability of it ticks off all the people I love to tweak.

German-made, folded slide .45 acp P-220

i love my P6

My one and only Sig that ive owned/held/shot is a german trade in P6. out of the box i had to replace the magazine springs along with the recoil spring to get her to run like a sig should. after learning that changing out the hammer spring is not too hard i baught a lower power wolff hammer spring and boy did it make her feel great. it has a super smooth and much lighter DA trigger pull now.

i cant compare my P6 to other sigs i havent held or shot but i CAN say that my P6 purchase was my best firearm purchase so far. tons of bang for my $300 bucks. some pics for you:

if you want a sig and cant afford the normal $700-$800 price tag GET A P6!

I've had a P228, I have a P225, the one that I've always liked and don't see mentioned here is another one that is out of production, which is the P220 9mm. At one time in the 1980's these were imported by Browning as the "BDA", this had the mag release on the heel, and was SIG's first entry into the US market. - skeeter_08

My P220 in SAO. I have the carry model on the elite frame, so the full size is calling me. I can shoot the carry @ 25yrds. so I can't imagine the longer barrel/slide.

A P226 in 9mm. Simple. Reliable. Unfortunately we Californians have to make do with 10-rounds capacity magazines.

P6

Agree with HikingMan - go with the P6, if as nothing more than a cool historical (sort of) piece with some character. Make sure you keep it to 115/124grain rounds - the one I shot did not like the 147gr rounds.

That said, you'll probably be hooked on Sig and so the question is rather moot.
