What is velocity of 9mm NATO?

I believe NATO spec is around 1200fps, but it sort of varies. I think the Win stuff is around 1180-1200 depending on barrel length.

I have about 300 rounds of that stuff I bought a few years ago thinking hot hardball might be good to keep around. I've never chrono'ed it but it doesn't feel that potent, in either report or recoil. Seems about the same as plain old WWB.

Fiocchi 115Gr FMJ feels hotter.

M-882 WCC 01 chronographed at 1165-1185 out of my 5" STI and slightly lower out of a Beretta 92F.

I was not impressed at except for the "low" cost of the ammo.

Oops, I shoulda added that 147 gr. loads are also used by NATO. It ain't just two bullet weights as I incorrectly said above.

I did a little googling trying to find chrono numbers for the 124Gr NATO in the OP. (Q4318 on my boxes) I didn’t find much worthy of reposting here, just a general lack of excitement about the round. It is interesting that I found several references to NATO numbers coming from an 8” test barrel, while SAMI uses a more reasonable 4”

I can't find the Nato spec but what I remember is that they specify a min velocity and min energy and possibly a max pressure.

Anybody got Nato specs?
