Another good place is Natchez Shooter's Supplies:

http://www.natchezss.com/

If they are out of a particular brand and caliber of ammo you can sign up for an e-mail alert for when they get it in stock again. These days you want to make sure and place your order soon after you get the alert. Sometimes they run out in less than 24 hours. You can also sign up for an e-mail sale notice that has some good deals in it.

 1500rds - .308 / 7.62 NATO Radway Green 145gr. FMJ Ammo $929.95

I generally visit.

Cabelas, Kittery, Georgia Arms, and a bunch of others.

I pay whatever the cost is as long I get the specific ammuntion I want. I usually expect nothing less than quality product with excellent shipping and no OS and D anywhere.

yeah not to many places still have .223 ammo in stock for a reasonable price. i dont even look at .308 so i dont even care about those prices.

Concerning ammunitiontogo. I had ordered 10000 rounds of Blazer .22 according to the charge on my credit card on 2/14. Then I asked for a status and received a promise to ship which I should have had about 3/20. I asked for status again and received an "I forgot to ship it". I commented a please send but I don't think I'll be ordering again. Well, the owner apparently had a hissy fit and cancelled my order. Fine, give me a refund. At least I received the 2000 rounds of .22 MiniMags. Apparently it's new math as the refund assumed that it costs $45 to ship 2000 rounds of .22 The saga continues today as I've requested a correction on the shipping and refunding the other $34 I believe I'm owed. I've bought a lot of stuff online, but this is the first time I've run up against such poor business practices. I bet the ammo will be sold now for more than what I thought I was going to pay.

Things must be a lot tougher than in Iowa!

I can't believe you guys are paying those prices online. What a rip-off.

Camper, seems you had a unaverage experience with ammunitiontogo,I buy from them a few times without issue.I bought from them last night again, although I'm crossing my fingers because I bought alot of 7mm mauser, because he had it on special for S&B at 9.95 per box, normally it runs around $16 or $17,I hope I don't get a excuse of why I can't get what I ordered, but we'll see, probably will go smooth.

And they took off the listing today btw, guess I cleaned them out.;)

i used to order from ammunitionstore till they disappeared. now, pretty much wideners, ammoman and ammunitiontogo. however, the latter is kinda on my list at the moment and i won't be ordering from them for a while.

I bought from ammoman before,no problems.Only problem is with him is alot of his listings are always "out of stock more coming",even before the hysteria started.

It's a sad day when S&B and Winchester USA ammo like .45acp which use to be the budget ammo costs insane, just because we are caught up in doom and gloom speculation.

"JGSales", "Southern Ohio Gun" and "Widener's" seem efficient. I refuse to buy an ammo caliber which has been over-speculated because of buyers who behave like chickens with their heads cut off , i.e. x39.

Bought x54R a few months ago from JG, and now awaiting SOG to catch up on shopping madness for more x54R. "Widener's" is quite popular.

So-called "Cheaper Than Dirt" is "Gold-Plated", from the prices that I've seen. Numerous items at "CTD/Gold-Plated" are a comic farce.

Graf and sons. The almost always beat Cabelas pricing and they ship pretty quick and they pay the freight:)

It's normally double tough to beat ammunitiontogo.com for service and price; prob is , I think he spends most of his time on the road at gunshows, around Texas, Dallas to San antonio to Houston to beaumont, and I think he may have jacked you around once above dude, but it is not like big John to be that way, and I am sure he regrets it, and his poor service for you. He is normally as nice and as amiable a guy as you would ever meet, and has done nothing but the best in deals for me, and have even gotten some greater face to face deals, where he would ' forget' my tax, or lower some price on 17 aggie rounds, or somehting like that.
