Like the tittle says, most boxes of ammo say if they are reloadable but I can't seem to find a statement to that effect for the UMC mega packs I buy on occasion. This is in .40 S&W if it makes any difference...

Any and all help appreciated!

Ps- first thread!

Welcome to The High Road!

Yes, Remington UMC is reloadable. I've never bought it in .40S&W, but can tell you for sure it's reloadable in .45acp and .223rem.

Welcome! Remington only manufactures reloadable ammunition, as far as I've ever seen. They will be fine to reload.

Hope this helps.

^ Ah cool, yea a gentleman at one of the local ranges was saying that it was brass plated steel/metal.

But yea its boxer primer and looks damned like brass :p

The person at the range was confusing it with S&B (Sellier & Bellot), from the Czech Republic. They do produce some Boxer primed cases which look like brass. The only way to tell them is to run a magnet over them. They also produce brass cases, so you just have to use the magnet test on them. Their primer pockets tend to be a little snug, but I like that, and it's good brass.

Hope this helps.

Only about half of Remington ammo is reloadable. The rest is rimfire...

The way things are going, we may have to figure a way to reload them, too............

And I want at least 33% of what The Bushmaster gets..........
