Hmm, that's some interesting headstamps. No idea, I've never seen it before. Feel like selling me a couple rounds of that arabic-stamped stuff?

EDIT: Rounds 1,2,3,8,10,11, and 12 seem to be USSR stamped (could be wrong on a couple of them)
Round 9 is yugoslavian.

EDIT: EDIT: Round #7 is egyptian, 1957. the headstamp is Misr (Egypt) over "57" the year of mfg.

EDIT: EDIT: EDIT: round # 5 is egyptian, 1959, with an additional marking that is either "27" or "37" (obscured by primer crimp markings)
round #6 is also egyptian, 1969, and appears to have the same additional marking as round #5, with a definite 2 followed by what appears to be a 7.

Headstamp for both #5 and #6 is UAR (United Arab Republic) over the last 2 digits of the year of mfg.

It was probably made for use in the Rashid 7.62x39 carbine-only about 8000 were made, although I understand our guys in the sandbox have found some Iraqi-made copies.

That help? :D

11k rounds, it's all diff. I've pulled a dozen diff. bullets, so far it's all steel core. Some is definately chinese, some Arabic? I dunno, I've got 1k tracer, green tip, and it's all diff. too

I would be interested in purchasing a few of those as well. Perhaps you could put together some packages containing variously stamped rounds and sell them to recover your purchase price? Just a thought, but it certainly would benefit a 7.62 nut like myself!

All russian except for middle photo...obvisously. They are difinately Syrian Which leads me to ask Kman...where did you get these? I can say working the job i do we are seeing a lot of random ammo piled into cans. Especially 7.62x39. Be leary of this ammo.I have been informed of Syria's serious lack of quality control with there ammunition. Be leary with it.

here are two diff. calibers I found in one can of tracer, any idea?

Funny, my co-worker is Syrian, gotta show him.
Ammo was purchased from a gentleman who has had it in storage for about 15-20 years.

First one i think is German. Dynamit Noble. The 55 is most intriguing. Kudos for sparking my curiosity. Does not happen often. I'm thinking its French.

Afghanistan war surplus? what I thought was chinese is Russian, dates would be about right.

Actually, the 60 - K marked one is Soviet production from Frunze Kyrgistan, the K is the soviet date code for 1956.

The E - 3 marked one is also soviet, Ulyanovosk production from 1954.

all arabic marked ones are Egyptian, none pictured are Syrian.

I'll bet I know where it came from. I bought some too, had a blast sorting through it finding all kinds of cool old headstamps.
The seller said it all came out of Israel in the mid 80's.

The FAL was original chambered for 7.92x33 as well.

Other German weapons used this round during the war. They include:
Gerat 06 and 06H (test only - Senich's book)
StG45 (test only - Senich's book)
G43 (test only - Senich's book p147)
FG42 (test only - Death From Above)
VG1-5 (used by Volkssturm)
Volks Karabiner (simplified K98 used by Volkssturm)
