What is your favorite CCW gun

Usually just an SKS down my right pants leg. I use crutches so I can keep my leg straight without looking too suspicious. They'll never know I'm carrying until I have to unbuckle my belt, drop my drawers and rack the bolt. I think it is important to dress around your piece, you can never have too much firepower.

Most of the time a XD40 Sub Compact in a IWB Uncle Mike's holster or a S&W M&P 9MM Compact. Both are easy to conceal with comfort. I carry a NAA380 as backup on occasion in a ankle holster.

I have a friend who is only 5' 18" that CC a Remington Super Shorty 12ga without printing

My primary carry is a Smith and Wesson M&P 40 compact model with CTC laser grips. I carry it in a Smart Carry. I am also thinking about adding a MTAC IWB holster or Galco OWB holster to the mix.

On the rare occasion where I can't carry the .40, I pocket carry the Bersa Thunder .380.

I carry Golden Sabers in both.

I carry two at alternating times. One is my Charter Arms Undercover .38, which I've owned since 1987. The other is my Bersa Thunder .380 autoloader.
I like 'em both and, to me, it's kind of like picking either my blue cap to wear, or my slightly darker blue cap to wear. In other words, I guess I don't prefer either; I just like 'em both. The .38 is more comfortable, though, in my manner of carry (IWB, between belt and pants, to rear of strong side.)

I have a lot of guns, in various sizes, but I can't get away from my LCP. It is just to comfortable to carry.

My CCW is the Kel-Tec PF-9 in an ItW. Stow and go, imho its the perfect balance of size and power.

my carry is a taurus pt-145. i also read someone made mention of the walther ppk. i owned a bersa thunder .380 (which is nearly, if not, identical) and regret every day i sold it. i love my taurus but the bersa was easy to conceal, accurate, and easy to maintain.

G 33 IWB just behind right hip, because it's so accurate and so shootable and so concealable, and S&W 442 in left side front pocket, (with my hand on it if something or body makes me uncomfortable). I practice mostly left handed unsupported with the 442.

I alternate between:

Norinco M1911
Browning High Power
Glock 19
Glock 22
S&W 3" Model 65
All in Don Hume 715M IWBs

S&W 2" Model 36
In a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster

There if you need it

There seems to be a wide varitiy to the "perfect carry gun" but as a wise man once said the best thing to bring to a gun fight is a gun!! That having been said I LOVE my Kel-Tec P3AT. It is so light that I can carry it in the pocket of my Bermuda shorts (which living in Florida I wear most of the time) and not hardly notice it is there. I added a armalazer sight and use the pocket holster provided and trust me it is a hard combo to beat. Use HydaShok personel protection rounds and never feel under protected.

XD45 Compact
Lasermax guiderod laser
Federal HSTs x 24:
- 10+1 on board
- 13 round reload
Comp-Tac MTAC @ 4:00

A great solution to "not wanting to carry it all the time", "getting lazy", or "it's too hot to carry" is to use an IWB holster: I have no choice, none of my pants fit without my gun!

:D

I waver between my Sig P6, Smith 6906 and Smith 36.

The Sig and 6906 I carry strong side Don Hume IWB clip ons, the 36 I keep in an ancient Chic Gaylord speed scabbard my old man gave me before he passed years ago.

38 SW snubbie in Desantis Nemesis. In my humble opinion (and I am not an expert but own a 9mm, 45, 380, and the 38) the SW snubbie is the best compromise between smallest "print" and caliber. Loaded with Speer GDHP for short barrels.

I honestly am not able to carry the 45 (Kimber Pro CDP) or the 9mm without seriously printing, and the 380 is perhaps too small a caliber.

Sincerely,

KK

Glock 26, Glock 29, Walther PPK, CZ75 P01, SIG P229...so many...I like small pistols...wait...I like all guns :)

It's big, heavy, easy to shoot and makes large holes in people. Despite it's size, though, the grip is flat and not terribly thick making it easy to conceal. Other nice features include an extremely short trigger reset and good corrosion resistance.

I'm still looking for that "happy medium" but for now it's a Beretta Tomcat or a Glock 17. At 5'8" 135# the G17 is quite a hefty item. I'm currently in the market for an MK9, S&W 3953, Sig P239, or a J-frame (637). No hurry though...
