On the Wednesday night Outdoor Channels "Night at the Range",which encompasses several shows over about a 4 hour period,Larry Potterfield of Midway USA has a commercial in which he rates various factors of effectiveness of different handguns,in different calibers. If you've seen it,you know what I'm talking about...

Does anyone have a link to those scales? They're not on the screen long enough to really get a good look, and I'd like to sort of study them...

Thanks in advance...

Scales

use a set of the small digital scales to weigh .177 pellets and bullets but if you really want to weigh something use beam scales.

From what I have read over on the "Best Defense" TV show discussion forum, that chart was just invented for the Midway segment. I've searched for "the chart" there and at Midway.
BTW: That segment is a Midway spot, aired because they sponsor the show. Those mini-reviews are not actually part of the "Best Defense" program.
Still, I really enjoyed Larry's review of a Beretta 950 :)

Larry,it's a chart I'm after,not a weight scale.Thank you very much for the info,though...

Here is the link to the BEST DEFENSE forum discussion about the MidwayUSA cartridge effectiveness chart. Five pages of discussion, yet no information on how Larry came up with the figures he presents. Mr. Bane just says Larry came up with it. And since that segment isn't actually part of the Best Defense TV program, who knows? But have a read....all that is known is here in this discussion:

Thanks,Jack,it's interesting reading, especially all the disclaimers from the PDTV staff.I'll be watching that thread for the chart.I do not intend to treat that particular chart as gospel,I just want to save it so I have something to look at from time to time...
