hello, I am new to this site and I recently purchased an uncle mike's kydex paddle holster for my Glock .45 it has "adjustable" screws on for tension, but I can not get them to adjust? It seems the back of the screw (the nut part) is glued to the screw so when I try to use a screw driver to adjust the whole unit spins and spins. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

Uncle Mike's makes garbage, plain and simple. For the same price, you can get Fobus, which isn't fantastic but they are about 5 times better that Mike's crap.
Plus, they are made in Israel. I can't tell you how many of them I handed out to Iraqi cops on my 2006 tour. Sweet revenge!

mlg6504, I'm sorry the four posters above decided to be elitists rather than offer you help. As far as the adjustment screw being thread-locked to the nut. I've seen the same scenario and it turned out that it was just the round nut turning in place as the screw was turned.
I used a pair of needle nose pliers to hold the nut as I adjusted the screw.
I'm sure the Uncle Mike product will work for you once you get adjusted. For sure it isn't the world's best product; but, then you didn't pay a ton of money either. Later on you may choose to get a different holster and then you will have the experience of ownership and can decide what might be better suited to your needs.

I've got the same holster, and encountered this problem also. If RDF's suggestions don't work, let us know, but his advice is good. I'm sure the holster will suit your needs, and operate safely and reliably. Mine sure does. Good luck. -Rob

I would like to point out to the person who said 'invest in a good one like bladetech'
I use a Bladetech holster for a USP, and it had the exact same problem as the OP is describing.
It wasn't a big problem, since as RDF suggested, it's easy to just hold the nut in place (on the bladetech I could just press my thumb against the nut and hold it).

I think the point is that the first 4 responses did not address the person's stated issue.
I see nothing wrong with providing an answer to the issue THEN giving an opinion on (whatever). But, to just tear down the man's equipment without providing an answer is just WRONG.

Well said Ralph....you may also try trickling a little solvent onto the screw to soften the threadlocker if it was used. It will also lubricate the screw if no threadlocker was used allowing it to turn.......That being said when you are ready to upgrade your holster try one of these....They specialize in Glock holsters. Alabamaholster.com

It's one thing to say you don't like a particular product or that it hasn't worked well for you. Sharing your experiences may help someone avoid a bad purchase. It's something totally different to say a product is "crap" or that a company only makes "crap." Remember, you may have just ended up with a defective product.
I have some Uncle Mike's products. They are NOT top of the line. They ARE inexpensive and mine have never failed me. I've never tried their Kydex gear, and cannot comment on this particular holster. I just don't think it's very High Road to write off the entire brand as "crap" because you've had a bad experience.

I teach classes, I shoot matches. I've seen many, many people plagued with Uncle Mike holster problems. (and other brands, also)
I will say two things about Uncle Mike's kydex holsters:
1) For the money, they are "adequate" for recreational use.
2) They are better than Fobus.
