EBRs... what does EBR stand for?

Technically, yes, a battle rifle is supposed to be chambered for a full-power cartridge like the 7.62x51 or x54. In this day and age, many consider this trivial. I don't, but some might call me a grammar Nazi.

I believe the term "EBR" was originally used with the M14 EBR, which eventually became the Mk 14 Mod 0. I could be mistaken, however.

just keep asking and well keep answering. Got anymore acronyms needing answers while I'm still here?

not really, not at 3am, theres a million. But i'll be happy to tell you any specific ones YOU can think of. ;)

yeah... *** is DRT? and please don't tell me it's the brown stuff the ground is made of....

If this keeps up, public schools will be all groups of letters 10 years from now.

LOL, LOLZ, ***, DTR, Etc.

Hate to see the Tower of Babel of Biblical Size reduced to a brick or two.

EBR "Enhanced Battle Rifle" applies to M14/M1A rifles. This denotes a receiver put into a modern metal stock with pistol grip, collapsible stock, and other doo-dads.

You might also hear FNG, which is "flipping new guy" ;)

BFH=Big Freaking Hammer

Alternately, BFG= Big Freaking Gun. I think it originated from Quake, a video game for Nintendo 64.
