But you have to give Obamanation credit for causing The Citizens of the USA to be better armed than they were before the election. What does that say about confidence in him.

Here's what we need:

With regards to the ammo though, there are in fact few stronger political statements to be made than loading up on guns on ammo - short of using them, of course.

Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if Obama takes credit for a drop in crime due to increased ownership.

The great pre-revolution preparation?
I've been hearing people talk like that lately and been doing a lot of reading/thinking about it, I think the revolution is on now, we just haven't figured it out yet. The weapons of our warfare are not and should not be the guns or ammo we're having trouble getting, it should be what Ben Franklin called the most powerful weapon of all, it should be your pen!!! Till you're our of ink, don't worry about ammo!!! I'd suggest reading Mark Levin's book, "Liberty and Tyrany" Great read and helped me really find direction in venting my frustration with the current drunken fools in .gov. Didn;t mean to get to serious on everyone, just think there's a lot more we can do!!!

Is she single???

Jackpot last Friday, SE CT; picked up 9mm & 40 WWB (3ea), they also had fed 223 100rd packs, blazer brass 40, WWB 45 230gr and .45 WWB hollow point. Went back Sat morning, nothing left but the usual 357 SIG and some rifle and shotgun ammo. Guy in the store said they the largest shipment in months Thursday night and when I bought mine on Friday (Noonish, shelves about half full) he had sold about half already.

Will check in with him this Friday.

Georgia Arms Delay

Is it just .40 at Georgia arms is slow or is it all calibers there?

I'm on week 15 waiting for my 1000rd order of the 180gr canned heat to ship. I'm debating canceling it since Wallmart is actually having some stock now.

Everything is slow. It took 18 weeks but I got my .40 and 9mm canned heat last week. I still waiting on 45 ACP ordered at the same time.

For practice ammo there biggest shortage is primers and for defence it can be the gold dots, 9mm are the big problem for defence right now . Leave your order in ,i have had mine show early before. and not many can match there prices for defence rounds or practice. and it is good stuff. Remember that most all primers come to them from ammo companies that are filling there own orders first.

The .45 is Extinct

Is the .45ACP ammo extinct or something? I can't find a single round of any standard 230gr FMJ .45acp at any online store. What gives?

I know ammo is ridiculous thanks to our new chairman and the run on guns the fearmongers created, but I've been able to find 9mm, .223, 12ga etc. just fine at least lately.

Sorry, but here in NJ all ammo transactions, are logged by name, address, phone, driver's license, FID #, signature and how many rounds of what you bought on what day are logged. Our only way to privately buy handgun ammo is through mail order.

We've had a bit of an ammo shortage out my way. After the inaugeration there was a lot of "panic" buying. In some respects sort of silly but such is life.

You folks in Jersey got it rough. Here if you get ammo at Wal-Mart and it's a pistol caliber they ask you for proof of age (sometimes) and if it's for rifle or pistol. That be it.

I can hardly find any, stores or online. I was downstate last week and saw Blazer Brass for 23 bucks a box, but couldn't bring myself to buy at that price. If this complete shortage continues I might start to regret my cheapness.

Lots of stuff available in my neck of the woods (VA, Albemarle Co. and surroundings) - WWB, Magtech, PCR and one store with bulk 250rnd boxes of Remington (I think they were $124.99). And lots of premium SD rounds - mostly Federal, Hornady, Speer, but I picked up some 50rnd WWB JHPs last weekend.

It's not extinct at my house.......and I have seen some at Wally World lately. Things are loosening up.

Not much handgun ammo at our Lewiston, ID Wal-mart.

I've not seen much .45 ACP stuff in the local shops for a while now, and
with the prices that they want. Am glad that I sold my .45s a few years ago.

The Clarkston super-sized store will be the 3rd largest Wal-Mart ever built.

Hopefully they will have a big sporting goods section and ammo.
I really like that Blazer Brass 9mm for $8.97 a box.

Dealers charge close to $13 here.
