i love p mags, i will be taking mine to iraq with me on my 3rd and final tour soon, i have been running them hard since i got em. i will let you know when they break, a spring goes bad etc.

They are good mags. A plastic mag seems counterintuitive, but they simply work and work well.

Leaving them loaded does not harm them, but you may want to use the dust cover for extra care. I like taking precautions, especially on gear that may save my life one day, you dig?

Pmags are, IMO, one of the, if not the best mag on the market, espically for price. I have not had any malfuntions with them at all, as compared to USGI mags...

+1, pmags are worth every penny.

No problems with mine, I would encourage you to pick up a few and try them yourself, I think you will be happy with them.

The great thing about Pmags is that they're either the correct dimensions or cracked. Pmags don't bend, dent, or stretch like aluminum magazines do.

It's a whole lot easier to spot an unserviceable Pmag than an unserviceable USGI mag.

The feed lips for example: On USGI aluminum magazines, the feed lips can stretch or bend. You don't always noticed this until you have a weapon malfunction.

With a Pmag, if you don't see a cracked or broken off feed lip, you're good to go.

I haven't had any problems with the 10 PMags I own. I highly recommend you buy a case of them.

Pmags are very good. You will not wear out the spring on one unless you do A LOT of shooting - enough shooting to wear out a barrel or two on your AR.

I have a bunch and I can recommend them. Just remember that most mags, including Pmags, are a wear item. Also remember that they cost about the same as 20-25 rounds of factory .223. So don't be upset if they wear out after being used 300 times (ie 6000rds through a 20rd Pmag) - although I suspect most will go longer than that.

I bought some of the 20 rounders specifically to use on a bench with shooting bags. They are excellent, just like all the other Magpul products I own.

My son got to Afghanistan about a month ago, his first deployment. The first thing he asked for was decent mags (the second was porn), his box of PMAGS is going in the mail tomorrow. I use them in my patrol rifle and everyone I've talked to agrees that they're best.

there's junk plastic and then there's truly good quality stuff.. these are the latter. They just plain feel good\sturdy in the hand.

Plus Magpul has great customer service. I ordered one 20rd'r once that had a problem with the tab near the top that keeps follower in place. They took care of it. I sent in the bad one, they received it sent me a good one. The guy on the phone actually knew their products too not just some farmed out telephone support.

I can't speak to real durability as I've only used mine a small amount at range. The work fine and seem like a great product. The folks who shoot thousands upon thousands of rounds ect., ect., or use them in some duty fashion rather than merely hobby\recreation settings say they are great. I believe them.

I agree with everyone, minus the experience in desert. I've stepped on my Pmags, dropped them and shot the heck out of them and never had a malfunction or problem.

One of the guys on M4C did a torture test on a couple. Went at them with a hammer and pliers. They still worked. Then he shot them. Guess what? They still worked. Although the one that was shot was limited to fewer rounds because of the damage.

I prefer a but load of USGI aluminum mags or steel like H&K mags but also have a layout of Pmags and think Magpul uses the best polymer of all the magazine makers. Better than ProMag,Bakelite,Zetyle,Thermould,Tapco,Lancer,ect.
