and 2 sets of Dies one for .223 and one for 9mm.

this is the one for 9mm: http://factorysales.com/html/xcart/product.php?productid=2815

my question is, would this be the correct die set for the .223, is it complete?

Im new to this, so I dont know if this is exactly what is needed.

hoping for advice so I can make my order tonight.

Grafs has this set in stock. You get a full length sizer, a seater, and a factory crimp die. I do not know if the seater will roll crimp or not. The Lee rifle die fans can tell you.

That is all you need to load .223.

Kempfs is a good place to shop for Lee equipment as well.

thank you!
I assume this would work with the press Ive chosen?

Id like to order from one place to avoid multiple shipping charges... looking at the place Im hoping to order from, is there a complete die set for .223 you could reccomend?

"my question is, would this be the correct die set for the .223, is it complete?"

No. Mr. Walkalongs set is complete and it includes the crimper die you are looking at.

First thing you need to buy is a Lee or Lyman loading manual. Those will let you know what's needed, why, and how to use it. All that's far too much for us to cover on the net.

A RGB die set is all you really need for .223. (It does not say if the seater will roll crimp. I think it does, but I don't know)

The Lee Pacesetter die set also includes the FCD die. It says the seater will roll crimp, so you would have the option of roll crimping with the seater, or using the FCD collet type die to crimp.

I would lean towards the Pacesetter set. It is the one I linked to from Grafs.

thank you folks!
heres something along the same lines I believe, that is on the same site I plan to order from.

what are yer thoughts?

Ive got a Lyman Reloading Handbook, 46th edition.. might be a bit outdated, but it covers alot, Ive yet to read thru it all. just got it a cpl days ago.

I figured Id ask yall since you folks are current.
I really appreciate the time and suggestions, I can hardly wait to get loading for the first time!

again, thank you.

Thats the set you need the first die you had posted just crimps already loaded ammo. Most dies if you screw them down a bit tighter crimp the bullet in also after seating it.

Hope you are a patient soul, I waited for 3 months for an order from this site before giving up and buying elsewhere. Oh and they will charge your card as soon as you order (not upon shipping like most sites).

Don't forget a scale, bullet puller, calipers and a few other things. Some kits come with a lot of those things, some don't.

You'll need load data from some good manuals. The Lyman is one of many you should be looking at.

Lee Collet neck sizer:

An auto? Not recommended.

A bolt gun? Worth a try.

They actually work very well, along with their "dead length" seater. (If that is still what they call it) I have a set in .222 Mag, although I have switched to a Forster set for it.
