No they were recalled and kept by the company, so they are next to non existent in the US, less than 5000 were imported to begin with.

The first time I went to a gun shop I saw one of those, only reason I remember it is because the owner told me it was South African. I was 15, its weird some things you remember.

Buy it, few left here and until you get north of $500, might be worth long term curiousa investment.

guess, I want this cheap

As for location, not gonna tell until next week (after auction), you really want to know then ping my internet and guess :)

I was thinking that to the right person this gun would be worth more than the 150 they might get for it, I kinda hope that the person who bid on it doesn't know its history, which I doubt as it is labeled wrong, and I'm bidding for a rommy trainer anyways. If I get hard up I might even put on here as I would be pinching rent money to get it.

Can you get hold of LIW and ask if they will still honour the recall and do the modification free of charge?

As I understand it, they will honor the recall, this is the US, so they will give you 500 for the pistol. Everything I read says that they will not do anything for a gun still in the US except take it back.

Odd Job do you know who was looking for a CP1 on your thread?
Maybe they will have an Idea what one might be worth.

I was wondering how much one is worth, I know that they are a collecor item now, and was shocked to see one pop up. Someone already bid $50 and the auction doesn't close for another 2 weeks.

What I found was that they sold for 400, were recalled in 2001 for 500, so there are very few left in the US. here are some links
