Hello, new guy here.

I just posted this in the autoloader section also.

A friend recommended this site to me.

I've had a concealed carry permit for a about 6 years. Usually only carried backpacking (where permitted) or in my vehicle.

I have a Glock 17 (9 mm) and a Taurus 444 Multi (44 mag ultralight) and a Safepacker holster for each.

I am researching a pistol/holster for CC in more populated areas and to carry when doing farm chores. I like the Glock 26 (9mm), but it seems a little big for a pocket carry, and the safety concerns me if pocket carried.

I'd like to come up with a pistol/holster combo that I could use when doing farm chores. To complicate things, I'm 5-9, 140 lbs, wear 29 or 30 inch waist jeans. Not a lot of good spots inside the waist band that won't be bumping bones. Doing chores I often have to run to herd the horses. (I typically do wear blue jeans.)

What about a Glock 26 in an ankle carry?

Smaller revolver?

I would greatly appreciate your input on this.

Thanks in advance!

Maybe a shoulder holster that fits the gun of choice ?????

Mutt, thanks for the feedback, but I live in the south and wear T shirts the better part of the year.

Today I looked at both the Glock 36 and the SW 642.

Bought a SW 642 (concealed hammer) and an Uncle Mikes Inside the Pants Holster Left Hand and a Right Hand.

I'm right handed. The left hand holster will work in the rear right pocket of my jeans. Inside the pocket, not clipped to the pocket, with the clip to the rear. This holds the revolver very securely. The butt shows if my shirt is tucked in, but this is not a problem doing chores. I put the gun in the holster then put the holster in my back pocket. Very snug going in, but the gun draws very smooth. I put the gun in the holster first to avoid having to wiggle it to put it into the holster (afraid of shooting my a__ off).

The right hand holster will go inside the right front pocket of my jeans and conceal the gun. Or it will clip to the pocket and leave the butt sticking out. Both seem pretty secure.

Picked up a Bulldog ankle holster that will work on my ankle with boot cut jeans. Seems to work OK.

The holsters were $13, $13, $10 respectively. So it won't kill me to upgrade any of them. I will likely upgrade the ankle holster.

Hello friends and neighbors/// Definately found a great cc revolver ( I was going to suggest the 638 bodyguard style)

If running you might want the ankle holster like kd posted but with the extra elastic strap running up to knee or above calf.
