When you have your safe delivered...

Seems simple but what about moving it at night? I guess this would only work if you were moving it yourself with three friends.

Mine still had the cardboard shipping material on the sides, and it looked like a refridgerator being moved in.

Move it during the middle of the day when most people aren't home. Will cut out most of the problem.

We deliver up to 1,500 pounds inside of homes, using two smally guys and a relatively unmarked truck.

Although we have considered charging more for an unmarked truck since we're loosing the advertising from it.

what's wrong with the neighbors seeing it? Just curious?

Mine is being delivered by a company that also delivers and installs home gyms, so a big box and a truck with exercise equipment on the side of it will probably lead my neighbors to believe that I'm having a Bowflex delivered.

The Ft.Knox dealer here as well as the Champion safe dealer both use very inconspicious delivery box trucks.
And the boxes surrounding the gun safe is also unmarked to what the contents are.

Gun Addict...If you lived in my neighborhood you would know exactly why most dont want the neighbors to know what all those guys outside are trying to muscle in.

Which brings me to another issue.
The main reason I decided to buy my Amsec BF 6636 over a very good competitor was because the competitor is not a dealer and only curbside ships where as the Amsec does have a dealer and they will sit that gun safe down in the house,bolt it down, and set it up.
Something this heavy is worth the money too me to make it a turn key operation.

Agreed. I bought my Browning Pro-steel at Academy (pretty much the only operation in town...stupid small town). Their pamphlet offers delivery and bolt-down, but the employees don't seem to know much about it. I told the manager "I want this one." He said, "ok, take this to the register and I'll have a few guys bring it out. Do you have a truck?" I do have a truck but I told him I wanted it delivered and HE had to go grab the delivery brochure to ring it up. Luckily, the folks that deliver it are pro's who are just contracted out by Academy.

So you don't want the neighbors to know, but it's OK for some random guys who work for a delivery service to know?

What type of insurance do they carry? Does their insurance company know that they deliver safes? (I'm in the safe business, and it was tough for me to change my policy in order to deliver gun safes into homes). What type of background do these guys have? Do they have the proper security licenses required by your state?

I would be very afraid of knowing the answers to the questions above.

What would your solution be?
