Prvi Partizan Ammo

I bought some last week. It arrived and I have not shot it, but it looks pretty well made. I'll not be able to give a report until next monday or tuesday but i researched the company and they appear to be a serious manufacturer.

My shipment of that exact ammo arrived today. I got it from Midway for $15.49 a box last week. Nice lookin' stuff.

My wife has put 200 rounds of it thru her Colt Mustang with no problems. We found that along with some Magtech at local shops. Just got 200 more rounds of the Prvi Partizan from Midway which won't last long.

I just checked and Midway is backordered with an expected date of 12/20/09.
Sorry.

Dave

I have a bunch of their 38 spl. I've used it in a couple of different revolvers and it works just fine. Great stuff for the range.

I just bought a box myself and pushed it through my J frame. A tad dirty, but it's great for the range. Went bang every time.
Wonder if it's true that NATO bombed their factory during the Balkan wars about fifteen years ago?

Probably, but I doubt it did much -- the factory is dug into the side of a mountain.

I've used it in .40 boxed under Academy's Monarch brand.

I like it as well as I do CCI Blazer Brass - prefer it to WWB and Remington UMC or ShurShot. I contrast to what others said about it being dirty, it seems cleaner than both the WWB and the Remington, and shoots accurately enough.

If I can find the Monarch / Prvi Partizan in .380, I'll certainly buy it. Academy sells it in Oklahoma for $16 per 50 :)

It's good stuff at a decent price, and I'll readily choose it over some of the more...obscure brands that I see now and then.

(and in regards to "dirty ammo", I don't seem to notice supposedly "dirty ammo" like others do for some reason)

Be advised that the Prvi Partizan ammo factory blew up a few weeks back.
So, stock up on it, because it might be awhile before more gets imported into the USA.

From what I've been able to read on the incident, it was only an explosion in one of their storerooms, and no manufacturing equipment was damaged. Sadly, several people were killed.

Reports I've read indicate that they'll only be down for about 2-3 weeks.

I shot at least 250 rounds of this ammo and it's quite good. Wish I could get more of it. I shot 250 of Sellier and Belloit and it's really good stuff too. Reasonably priced both brands.
