I have only 2 Kg's of powder and about 200 primers and bullets...

But need to convnce the fnance minster (wife) it isnt enough...
Would really appreciate pics....

Showing your wife what someone else has is silly. She might like it and then where will you be? :neener:

Seriously, either tell her you are getting some reloading supplies. If she can't live with that, then you have deeper issues and a forum isn't the place to get advice and/or support, IMHO.

You're definitely short.....for most that would be gone in about an hour at the range.

Primers, powder and bullets on your bench are like green beans, tomato sauce and peanut butter in the pantry. You're gonna use them so get them when you can and on sale. By the way Guns are like shoes and jewelry. This works in my house. Rick

Afy, Explain to your wife that you need to maintain a good supply of components because you never know when Germany may invade France. They've done it before.

Afy, why don't you apply for foreign aid from Obama? Tell him you're a reformed terrorist and you'll get pallets of components with no thought of payback. BTW, would you take Obama off our hands while you're at it? How do you say "Acorn" in French?

about 7000 primers

about (and this is a WAG) 5000 bullets

and 30 pounds powder

figure worst case scenario I can outlast Obummer, my friends would be on their own though!

Afy, does your wife like to shoot? If so, the next time she wants to go to the range, tell her you are out of ammo. After that, you wont have any issues building up your stash :).

I agree with Rembrant, components for 200 rounds is not sufficient.

Gee, honey!

Look what I found in the Masculine Care section of the local market when I last went shopping!

And, to think... They were ON SALE!!!

WoowoowoowooWooT!!! :neener:

I live by 3 mottos:

What my wife don't know, don't hurt me.

It is easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission.

We have separate finances, I pay all the bills and what's left is damn well mine and none of her business. She gets to keep and use what's hers and I don't care what the hell she does with it.

It took me a couple of marriages to work this out, but it sure works around here, been married to this one for 26 years.

Yup 200 primers...

I dont have a single empty case left either....

I will take the aid... but dont quite think Obama will fit in with the local crowd. They dont stand mentally challenged teleprompters well.

I have more than that but not by a hellu'va lot.
I did go to the trouble of loading a 30 cal ammo can with SuperX .22LR though.
and stock up on some loaded ammo, maybe 2-250 rounds per gun and around 100 buck 12ga and 200 or so game loads for 12 and 20 ga and maybe 20 buck for 20ga.
right now this primer situation is getting concerning. impossible to find sp or lr around here w/o getting gouged.

Afy...I thought you had your wife under control. You need to retrain her to understand that YOU are inchar...Hold on for a moment. I'm being called...Yes dear, be right with you...Now where was I...Oh yeh...You are incharge. Right?:D

Presently I am well stocked with all I need for the time being except for Hornady HP/XTP in two calibers and Remington SJHP for .38/.357 magnum.

I am waiting for Remington to do the "yearly run" on their .44 caliber 210 Gr JHP so I can stock up. I like them for .44 Spl. I need some .38's. Kind of low there. Hmmm. OK with most stuff.

You are incharge. Right?
Yep, right up to the moment she gives me that look.

I buy powder in 5 or 8 lb kegs, primers, brass and slugs by the 1000 count.

It's cheaper that way, and when all your brass is from the same lot, consistent loads come much easier. And when we have a shortage like we do currently, I'm not forced to pay a premium or run out of components.

Tell her it's like food storage, because essentially it is.
