I want one of these 3 for my AR. I know the vast pool of knowledge on THR so I look to yall for help.

Since I am in the industry. I can get pro purchase programs on select products. So these are the prices I will be able to get.

Surefire X400- $189

Streamlight TLR-2- $193

Veridian X5L- full price :( --- $350 minimum

I have 2 TLR-2's that i use on my pistols and AR's. The switch is very user friendly and gives several options for placement without having to use a pressure switch. Very bright. I haven't put them through much other than couple hundred rounds for practice.

Wow you get a hell of a discount on the Surefire compared to the Streamlight. Usually I would say go for the Streamlight because it almost always has the better price, but this time I'd say go with the Surefire.

What about the surefire? I heard its the absolute best and I can get it for the cheapest!!

They were pretty much the first on the scene with high end tactical lights, but being the best is a subjective evaluation. Many companies like streamlight and led lensor are making lights on par with Surefire, some nearly as pricy, some a little less. Any of the high-end rigs will serve you well, since the prices are close given your discount, I would choose the one that actuates the best on your rig.

I understand, so I will probably go Surefire on my AR and get that TLR 2 for my Glock later down the road since its a tiny bit smaller. I can only get one per year of each.

Im very surprised that no one recommended the green laser but its a failry new product with a short track record. We'll see about that one.
