15-20
favorite is Beretta A302 special trap (first gun I bought)
most expensive about $1500 Sako finnebear

i had a bunch but then my boat got sunk in a hurricane, i did buy 2 new ones but i was duck hunting and i had my punt gun aimed over the side (yeah i know stupid me) and the canoe flipped both guns lost now im just here for the pics

More than I need, fewer than I want. It is somewhere between 20 and 30 right now, kinda varies.

I have a friend with a little over 1,000 guns in his collection:what:. That includes over a dozen NFA guns:what::what:. He has a commercial type indoor shooting range in his house as well. No real theme or focus to his collection (just like mine). We joke that our collecting theme is "stuff that shoots".:)

I just inherited my dad's 10/22 for a total of 9, if you count my unfinished AR lower and my .22 kit for the 1911.

I try to keep the ethic that I will only keep as many guns as I can shoot regularly. But I will admit that I haven't been able to keep or afford ammo for all of them lately. I will also say that I know guys with over 100 guns who shoot them all and keep proficient with all of them. I don't keep safe queens, 'collector's items', commemoratives, investments, or 'pretty' guns.

I have spoken to non-Americans about guns, and I tell them I have about ten, and their eyes go wide, until I explain to them that you can't use one gun for everything. There are different uses, ranges, sports, etc. Then they said it was more reasonable.

I certainly have more than I need. The majority are safe queens. I only need around 10 for shooting but there is an ebb and flow to things.

I have 21 :). Enough? Never ! If you have endless funds and a special place to keep them, Great!. If I had the money I would have a collection like no other. But being a normal average income Joe I keep my ownership in perspective. Am I collecting to own guns & maybe never shoot most of them :banghead: or am I collecting guns to use them as they were intended to do, shoot? I have different guns in popular calibers (45ACP, 9MM, 357/38, 22LR, 5.62 Nato, 270 Win., 12 Gauge) keeping ammo at a cheaper price by buying bulk. I am learning to aquire the skills & pleasure of shooting at a price average joe can afford. I take different combos of guns to the range each time not only to practice but provide variety in my shooting pleasure. Is there one I shoot every time I go? Yes it's my CCW, S&W 360 M&P 357 mag. If I'm going to carry it I better learn to keep my skills up. I would want my point & shoot to come from instincts if I'm going to use it. I have 21 guns which would provide each member of the family with a rifle & a pistol minimum. A few extras only thru sentimental & toy value. ( 5 ) of my guns are under $700.00, the rest reach as high as $1600.00. Do you need so many guns? My answer would be "to your heart's content" but keep your priorities straight! Remember God & Family!:D

I only have three: A single shot .22 rifle, a single shot 12 gauge and a .30-30.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.:D

I have 5 now and as I am able financially I will add more. The most expensive is an M1A loaded. No handguns right now although I would like to ad an M&P 45 and maybe a carry pistol. Another that I would like to add is an M1 Garand and possible some other milsurp type guns.

About 2200 or so. Although I just bought a S&W 610 and am not sure if that's in the count. Maybe 2201.

I'm not giving a number, but I have long since arrived at that happy place where I have more than I need and all I want. The only thing that I might possibly add would be the little Ruger or Kahr .380.semiauto.
