chuckusaret, that motorcade belongs to the White House, not a particular President. And it is an awesome setup. I re-found a video of it installed in a SUV, it looks like an advertisement or demonstration.

Internet Myth. Those motorcades operate in places with civilians as the backdrop. Agents are trained to be accountable for every round fired. None of them are good enough to put every round on target with that thing. The minigun SUV ad was made to look like something presidential, but its just an ad.

Ther's no way the Secret Service has a Minigun-equipped SUV. It is awesome, but you dont need that here in the US of A. Here, assasinations are either one man at point-blank range (Reagan) or a sniper from a feww hundred yards (Kennedy). In the first case, it's ussless (too many civilians, many of them jumping on the guy) In the second case the shooter isn't seen. I'm sure that for a Clear and Present Danger style convoy (many bad buys w/ AKs and RPG-7s) it would be great, but this is the USA, not Columbia where there is open war between the government and the drug cartels
