To all the non-believers out there sorry but this is one Huglu that works.
- So for a little background info on the shotgun. It is not a rebranded Huglu it is a direct purchase from the turkish dealer. My closest friend Dave went on a deployment a little under two years ago and they pulled into Turkey He bought the shotgun there and did all appropriate customs and ATF paperwork and brought it back as a gift for me. It is a 103f with the fully engraved silver casing. (See Pic.) this is the first THANKS... Wow it is the most beutifull shotgun I will ever be able to own and I love the way that it feels. The second big thanks goes out to T.R. Imports they unknowingly saved me some money. As I said before this one was direct from the dealer in turkey and though it was NIB none of the literature has any english and I cant read turkish. T.R. Imports has a user manual in PDF form posted on their website and it has english translation. (heres' the link: http://trimports.com/corp/pdf/103D-C-F.pdf )
- Well now for the good news.
The first time I took this gun to the range we put somewhere in the neighborhood of 75 shells through it between Dave, My Wife and I. We each shot this gun and both of them the expierienced the Double Fire issue. but I couldnt replicate the issue at all and to make it worse it did it seven out of 10 times on my wife. The first time it even knocked her clean into the trap house (about 3ft). But she is trooper and stil fired the gun 9 more times (I got a keeper). I was just a hair away from writing the whole gun off and putting it in a glass case to act a a piece of art, but I decided I was going to see what I could find out and try to get it into a gunsmith. In my research I found the english translation. This being the first Dbl Barrel I ever even got to shoot before and not having the english translation I had assumed that the selector switch is how you selct which barrel to fire I had no Idea that it actually decided what barrel would fire on the first squeeze of the trigger and that a second squeeze would fire the second barrel. So I went home and tested the instructions and to my surprise it worked. So back to the range and low and behold still no double firing for me but now for the real test. I had my wife shoot but this time I told her to pull the trigger hard all the way and not to let up at all... and when the shot is finished then take your finger completly off the trigger and she kept doing this for about 50 rounds... and guess what not one double fire. I came to the conclusion that she was feathering the trigger to lightly the first time around and when the shotgun kicked it engaged the second trigger for the second barrel but she was still pulling and that it all happened so fast that it sounded like they were at the same time when really they were milliseconds off. now I can only wonder how many other people have expierienced this same issue and written it off to a bad gun. but I guess what it really comes down to is what we like and well I love mine. Might have loved a name brand one too, but that is just wishfull thinking as a poor old enlisted guy with a wife and two kids who are both in diapers. Heres a Pic Some of you may not like these guns but I am darn sure a fan.

Fellow geeZer Al C. has one he shoots occasionaly. Beautiful gun. Never knew it to double on him, nor did it double on me when he let me shoot it. Good luck, I think you've got a winner there.
